AmarieCWell that certainly is mature. Who is Falconlobo and why do you think it is so important to proclaim to everyone this person's sexual activity levels? |
|
nintendiehardYes, I wish to know as well. What has this person done to win such affection from you?| #3 Jul 12th 2007, 11:17am

Fogen the DemonFalconlobo is a positively talentless individual who insists upon writing erotic Fosters Home For Imaginary Friends fics. Also she has the name Falconlobo.....thats alone is enough to incite my wrath. |
|
nintendiehardUh-huh. Well, as a connoisseur of things erotic (I'm a guy, and I'm in college. Don't seem so surprised) I'll have to be the judge as to whether or not she is truly "talentless"*checks* Ok then. After reading 1 and a half of her work I can't fully say "talentless", but her work is pretty bad. It is fanfiction like this that really burn me up, and make people who don't understand the genre, write off serious ff authors. She needs work...a lot of work, but she's got potential. I've seen worse. A lot worse. But she...well, she just really needs some work. D'ya think I should tell her? | #5 Jul 13th 2007, 10:33pm

Fogen the DemonYou could but she won't care. She'll simply tell you that her style is her style and if you don't like it then you don't have to read it.| #6 Jul 13th 2007, 10:35pm

AmarieCHmmm, yeah, there is a difference between amature and wannabe. And almost every work that I have read (the bad ones) show that the author has potential, no matter how bad it is. Maybe I'm just lucky. Fogen the Demon, I can sympathize with your plight, since I know that people can write some crap, BUT under no circumstance would I call them a "**", unless they were a **, but how could you know that? Now, her name has nothing to do with her writing, just as your name probably doesn't. I declare that no one should write a sloppy, crazily out-of-character without good reason, uneducated, unpunctuated, play-formated, story and post it on this site. It is extremely annoying, embarrassing, and a pain to see. What a waste of fifteen minute's time, they could be buying car insurance with that time! lol | #7 Jul 14th 2007, 10:56pm

nintendiehardY'know, I see no reason to be a Bighter, and slam others, but at the same time I've always been against crappy fanfiction. Primarily because ours is a very misunderstood genre, and it's made even harder to relate to other people when many of them only see stuff like this. The worst part about it is that most of these grammatical abortions are also of the rated "X" or "XXX" variety. A double threat.I don't wanna make it sound like I know everything about fanfiction, but I know I'm better than some people out there. Let's all try a bit harder out there ok? | #8 Jul 17th 2007, 11:45pm

AmarieCHey, I've read plenty of crap, and it was by far crappier than my crap even though I don't think it could be classified as crap since my crap isn't really crap because I just like to overuse the word crap. Seven craps in one sentence, that must be a record or something. But I'm sick of the Mary Sue stories, most of them are good, but the thing is... they're perfect and all have the same plot structure- that's the problem. | #11 Aug 03rd 2007, 10:59am

nintendiehardHmmm. This is true. I wonder if mine seems that way to anyone?I try real hard to make my work not suck like many others, and so when I catch any mistakes, or someone calls me on the minor stuff, I tend to take it badly. You've read my story, do you think I've made her a Marry-Sue? | #12 Aug 03rd 2007, 12:07pm
|
|
AmarieCMary Sue? Marie is an original character. Wait, are you talking about that girl who is Jimmy's girlfriend? Because if so, then no, although it is pretty early to tell. Huh, I'll take this opportunity to remind you to work on that story. | #13 Aug 06th 2007, 8:17pm

AmarieCI have to remind myself sometimes that Mary Sues and OCs are not the same thing.| #14 Aug 06th 2007, 8:19pm

nintendiehardOh good, I was gonna say...And I did mean Marie. Everytime I re-read that story, I think that that's the sort of relationship I'd want, and it makes me feel like the story is suffering because of it. Eh, I dunno. | #15 Aug 07th 2007, 9:48pm
|
|
AmarieCSuffering? An ideal relationship, as long as plenty of conflicts follow, can be a good story. The story, to tell you the truth Nintendiehard, was a bit of a.... no, I can't say it, sorry... can't say it. Don't ask, I won't tell.| #16 Aug 08th 2007, 8:41am

|
nintendiehardWell now you must tell me, otherwise I will end the story at this point, and it will be very anti-climactic. But more importantly, I will publicly blame you, and so all of my fans (few though they may be) will be very mad at you! There, now tell me! | #17 Aug 31st 2007, 11:01pm

AmarieCMAN!!! I didn't take you for the threatening and blackmail type! Okay, okay! Just don't kill me. Although I might enjoy that.... Ha ha ha... Okay, well, um... this is going to hurt for me to say. I didn't want to you know? I really like your story and I think you do a great writing job. I don't want you to take this to heart or anything, it's just my opinion. Please don't be mad, don't get frustrated, I really want you to continue and not be mad... (you know I'm about to say something really bad) don't tell me that I didn't warn you, I'm only saying this because you threatened me... Oh man, but I had to go and say something which means that of course you'd want to know! (hits self in head over and over and over and over and over) Alright, my babbling is over. (flicks tears from eye) Personally, I did think you should have ever written that story to begin with. (sobs) Don't be upset please, I just thought it was a good place to end (the first story), although some things could be said for their future, but I don't know... you did a good job anyway, you are taking it, and making more plots to go on, and that is what makes it something all on it's own. Do you understand? | #18 Sep 03rd 2007, 7:34pm

nintendiehard*runs off to cry* HOW COULD YOU!*busts out laughing* Oh please! You think THAT was bad? Well it wasn't, but I really appreciate you caring so much (or at least pretending to.) Critisism is what I crave, I wanna make fan fiction better for everyone, so criticism is helpful in almost any form. Okay, see, What happened all those years ago (and it has been years, I'm very bad about updating) is I read it and then re-read it cos I liked it so much. Eventually, I thought I should write one of my own. While writing the rough draft of what eventually became MY first chapter when I realized that it had too much to do with RuneTheElf's story. At first I was very upset, cos I pride myself on originality (which is kind of a weird idea, considering the nature of "Fan Fiction" eh?) But yeah, it was kinda distressing at first. For a time I wracked my brain trying to change it to suit some original idea. I couldn't really think of anything but future chapters of the bit of the story I had already written. I am still quite upset about essentially doing a fan fiction OF a fan fiction, but I feel it's taken on a whole life of it's own. I had asked Rune many times for permission to do what I did and never received an answer, so I went ahead and did it anyway. Oh, and trust me, the remainder of the story will focus less on "Blood of Obsession" and more on the relationship between Double-D and Marie. I understand where you're coming from, and don't worry, I'm still kinda upset about it. Thanks for your candor, I really appreciate it. Why so worried about offending me though? Oh, and that wasn't all that serious of a threat or anything. I was just messing with you. But I'm glad you said something eventually. Also, what's this about? "Okay, okay! Just don't kill me. Although I might enjoy that...." What makes you think that? Anyway, I'll stop now. MY babbling is over too! So...your response to all this? | #19 Sep 03rd 2007, 10:55pm

AmarieCHey, I like to be nice to everyone (well, almost everyone...). I know, I like to be original too, even if this is Fanfiction. I don't like to hurt anyone's feelings when it comes to their stories, stories are a part of a person and they are very important. I don't like my things being criticized, so I try to be as nice as I possibly can. I don't know if that makes me come across as weepy or not. Oh, the killing part? Well, I'm just a little bit masochistic, so being murdered appeals to me a little. And it was a bit of joke. | #20 Sep 04th 2007, 11:20am

|
nintendiehardHa! Well no worries. You came off as being VERY nice, so don't worry okay? And as far as what I did, there was no real need to be so nice in it. I know what I did and I know it isn't really good, but I've done it. Y'know I just remembered my rationale for doing it originally, it was that it's not a sequel so much as it is another story that happens to exist within the same universe. So, you like the story, but don't think it should have ever been done in the first place. You're crazy, an I likes that. | #21 Sep 04th 2007, 12:24pm

AmarieCAlright, but I salute just to be goofy. Hm... uniformy. I used to have a friend who was involved with ROTC, and she wanted to join the army and fix planes. Do you plan on joining the army? nintendiehardWell, if you must.Really? Cool. As for me, I contracted in June of 2006. So I've been in the Army for over a year now. I was just gonna say something like that. | #25 Sep 09th 2007, 11:59am
