hi im new to thissite and have been drawn to reading all of your sam phil fan fics, i have been contmplating whether or not to write some samphil fanfics of my own and was wonderig if you have any expert advice you coud offer me as a new writer

okies, I suggest you either write a chapter on here and get people to write pointers in their reviews or you write a chapter and get a 'bett' ie; a person who will read your chapter, correct spelling mistakes, help with wording, tell you what's good, what you should do more of and generally give you advice and help. I hope this helps and I look forward tor eading a fic from you, you seem to have good potential, Becki x

actually, what they want is a 'beta'!... you spelt it wrong, if they asked for a bett they'd get a lot of confused looks.

I'm certainly no expert at writing but as Becki said, a beta can be extremly useful, so useful in fact that I have 3 that i use at random times lol. I also use these people to help give me ideas and sometimes I help them too with their fics.

By the way, if you ever have a vague idea for a fic, I'd write it down if I were you, and maybe you could use it later on. it doesnt matter how stupid it sounds, thats how most of my fics start! lol.

Another useful thing to do is experimaent with the many different types and genres of things you could write and see how it goes. I for instance, specialise in angsty Point of Views, but there's many other types of fics, like song fics for example.

Trust emma to write an essay but a very good essay. I'm sorry for writing betta wrong, It was suppose to say betta. I forgot to say if you need any help I'd be happy to help you. I think I already have you as one of my email contacts for some reason. hmmmmmm.... anywayz how are everyone's fics coming along? I've written 3 different chapters but I'm not able to upload them. ff won't let me which I'm really upset about. so sorry if i don't update for a while. becki x

btw emma, you are right my lovely drawing of zain for you on 'bebo' is very artistic or whatever word you said. ;) brown scribble, pink scribble and black scribble. hehehehe.

Hi there,

I have posted 3 S/P FF's recently, Second Chances, and the follow up which I am currently in the progress of, Families, there will be a 3rd to these 2, in the near future, I also have Changing Faces this isn't connected, and I will be shortly posting the final chapter, and I have plenty of other ideas for S&P stories, so the more reviews I get the more I will know what to write in the future, wouldn't wan't to put my efforts into writing stuff that isn't enjoyed. Don't go much on the Jam Fics, but that's probably cos I can't imagine Sam as a lesbian.

Anyway's let me know what yall think.

that's fair enough (the not being able to picture Sam as a lesbain comment), i don't actually have a ship, or more i have three or four. but i think you'll be pleased to know that i have just started, or a month or so ago, anothe massive huxon fic, may even be bigger than moving on, you'll realise how big that is when moving on is all posted. is finished though, just have to get around to posting it.

the new one i have is set roung the time that Sam was DI, and i need help with a name, so if you could pm me telling me you'll help, i'll pm you back an outline of the story. don't want to post it here though. thankd for your help in advance and i'll let you know if i use your idea.

at the moment i'm think something along the lines of *married?* it will become apparent why soon enough.

wow, lack of posting ont this topic, anyway, i just had another idea for all those who want HUXON stories but can't find enough. on the top of the page there's a window thing that says rating. i don't know if you know but you can cange it and make it reating ALL, then you might fun somef ics rated up a bit higher, meaning they have swearing and the like, also some steamy scence maybe, and some rahter 'adult themes' what ever that means. i pretty much rate all of my fics M and that means they don't generally come up when people are just looking normally. i've been wondering why everyone else is getting so many more reveiws then me adn this is the conclusion i've have some to: new people to the site just don't change the rating window and can't find my fics. (this way i can avoid the possibility that people actually don't like my fics...)

if i am completely off base, please do let me know. then i can slink of into a corner and sulk *wink*
