For as long as humans have played with fire and stone, there has been an empire, several hundreds and thousands of years ahead of them, built around a fracture in space and time that leads to the realm of Asgard, and to the heroic city of Valhalla, where Gods and Heroes dwell in eternal glory. This empire has existed for millenia... Where humans were discovering fire, they were discovering flight, through the combined skills of their magic, inginuity, and prodigous skill. These people where the High Elves, Children of the Gods, Brothers of the Shadows and the Forest. Their history has been filled with politics, plotting, inventions, and warfare, occasionally dipping into the primitive world, and at constant odds with the Children of the Shadows, the Dark Elves.

The legacy of their proud empire is carried on by it's few surviving prodigies, all united by the work of the Last King of the High Elves, Scaramouche, but before him, there was his mother, Queen Of The High Elves, Ruffiana, who's arrogant and discriminitive, but effective reign is a thorn in the memory of the Elves that live on.

This then, is their legacy... These are the elves and Svalbardians that have struggled through history, and live amongst us now.
