I'm working on a story where the King of a small island visits England and as I'm not perfect in my Victorian era history I could use a little help. How would visiting royalty like that be recieved? Would he meet the Queen? If so how would a ceremony like that take place? Ball? Dinner?

Where would someone like that be likely to stay? In a fancy hotel or is there a guest house in Buckingham Palace?
