![]() Name: Avalon, Serial Number: Red-779 Mark IX CRA Age: Appears to be 19 Species: Reproductive Android Gender: Female Homeplanet: Believed to be Dantooine. Eyes: Bright Ember Hair: Long silver hair, pulled back with a small braid around her temple. Body Build: Light, larger chest area. Skin Tone: Caucasin Distinguishing Marks: Has a black 9 at the top of her right arm on the side. Personality: Has a kind and caring personality, however smiles come not that quite often. Her personality can be unexpressive at times. She does not show confusion, love, nervouseness, or embarrasment. She is very focused in combat and can often see what others can not. She is loyal and honourable. She can also be protective and sometimes obsessive. Abilities/Disabilities: Stronger than other androids except the Mark II's. Very good reflexes and is one of the best in combat among the series. She also shares the ability to tell if someone is lying but she does not use it often. She is a fast learner also, her movements are slightly slower than the Mark VII due to larger body form in the upper area. Also has trouble with firearms except for the heavy guns. She is a suitable pilot, however her driving can be quite... interesting at most times. She does not like to get along with strangers. Tidbits and Quirks: Brushes her hair on her free time. Exercises as a pasttime. Speaks quite straightforward and almost always in a serious tone. You are a: Lone commando on an unknown planet in the hands of unknown, hostile beings. ![]() Both entries are accepted. 10/18/2011 #71 |
![]() A-Ok, ladies and gentlemen, *cracks knuckles*, let's get down to business. First order of business: E5 must be edited to be longer, more detailed, and have at least *some* history. Remember, what you stick on your bio isn't necessarily known by all other characters. Second, the tech he possesses is in-congruent with Star Wars canon. Armor, especially during the Mando Wars, consisted of metal plating and some cybernetics. Mandalorian armor was the apex of armor tech at the time. The beam rifle is also overpowered, I must repeat myself. Star Wars hand-held weaponry rarely carries the punch to devastate a tank, except if it's a rocket launcher, and that was Clone Wars-era. I'm sorry, but concentrated beams are, at the time of the Mando Wars, a province of lightsabers and such ilk. Finally, he's damned one-dimensional and quite Gary-Stu-ish. No weaknesses or social shortcomings are identified, except for his weapon... He has next to no personality, and, frankly, has no overall importance or place in the Mandalorian Wars as he is. Remember, this is almost galaxy-wide and a massive war for survival. I won't accept explanations or arguments contradicting my points, I'd prefer those manifested as edits to the bio. I am sure it is within your ample capabilities to edit E5 to something great. Okay, as to Kirara's androids; I have to say, they make me uncomfortable vis-a-vis canon and Mando Wars... Again, why are they involved? How will they get involved? If it's for a sub-plot, it's much too large. Also, their clothing and appearance is highly unusual for an android... Droids are always quite markedly droids, and the first android to be seen in Star Wars canon was Empire-era, no other androids have been shown/cited before that period. If they were just women or cyborgs, then that might be okay... To be honest, I'd prefer if we stuck to conventional things. We're fighting a war here, people, not triapsing around on random adventures. We need good soldiers and dastardly villains, not monotone supermen and reproductive androids... 10/19/2011 #72 |
![]() But I do like the name Avalon :3 It's very King Arthur-y :D 10/19/2011 #73 |
![]() Vis-a-Vis? They are involved to participate in the wars alongside others. What is an android suppose to wear and look like? These are Androids, not Droids. There was an android in the empire-era? War can have anything in it, good soldiers, bad soldiers, cowards, small time villians, big and mighty villians, regular villians, beasts, huge and small machines of war, and more. By the way, I have not seen any rules posted on here anywhere, if there are, tell me where, please. Monotone? 10/19/2011 #74 |
![]() Talking about E5. And what I'm trying to say is, androids didn't exist back then :D, they were only just making advances during the Imperial era. It's too advanced. And an android is meant to be wearing Star-War-sy clothes, which I don't feel is transmitted through the bio. And yes, I concur, but not poorly made characters. Not that I'm saying yours are poorly made, but perhaps not fitting for this RP. As for the rules, take that up with Indigo, I'm just a mod. I asked the very same question when I got here, but just go by proper RPing etiquette. I've seen your characters and skills in other forums, so I know you can craft something truly great, which is why I'm pushing you on the Android issue. 10/19/2011 #75 |
![]() Here's the canon source I'm drawing from. Remember, this occurs almost 4,000 years before the movies. http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Guri Also, any chance of a reply on the Halo forum :D? And finally, upon an actual look into what "androids" are within Star Wars canon, they're a loose term for droids resembling humanoids. Examples of androids in the Old Republic Era are the footsoldier droids employed by Revan's Sith Empire and the Republic during the Jedi Civil War. Human replica droids, which your characters more closely resemble, are all grouped around the Imperial era, no mention being made of these droids before that time. 10/19/2011 . ![]() ((I thought it was 40,000)) Star Wars is the most advanced one I thought about, and I do mention Ruins on Dantooine which could mean quite a few things about their origins. Star War Sy clothes? There are all kinds of aliens, races, and civilizations with all sorts of different clothing, how do you know it isn't star wars sy? 10/19/2011 #77 |
![]() Avalon's clothes are fine. And no, the Mandalorian Wars took place 3,976 years before "A New Hope". Anyway, perhaps the clothes were a poor point, but it still links to my general unease at almost-perfect human simulacra droids... The Ruins on Dantooine are Rakata, and the Rakata's most advanced droids were of the type seen within the ruins themselves. I.E. the Rakata had no androids... The Republic is already as advanced, if not more, than the Infinite Empire was at that point in time... 10/19/2011 #78 |
![]() Rakata have ruins on Dantooine? I did not know that either. At least their not all the way perfect ^^... Right? 10/19/2011 #79 |
![]() Well, all ruins we've seen so far on Dantooine, to my knowledge (And that's not very many ruins) are Rakata... Anyway, your characters could work for an Imperial era RP, where decadence, hedonism and droid tech are higher than in this time period... But I must repeat, not here. I've talked to Indy about this already. E5 worries me more, to be honest... And is Gen dropping as well?!! :D Sorry I just need to know. 10/19/2011 . Edited 10/19/2011 #80 |
![]() Name: True Name Unknown. E5 was printed on his chest plate. Age: Unknown. Species: Unknown Gender: Unknown. Presumably male. Home Planet: Unknown Eyes (if you have eyes): Unknown Hair (if you have hair): Unknown Body Build (if you have a body): Abnormally large. The suit doesnt seem to be solid, more like black scales or more leatherlike. When we almost got it off he exploded and killed the engineers that were woking on him. Skin Tone (if you have skin): Unknown Distinguishing Marks (cool scars, ugly moles, etcetera): The E5 that is on his chest over his heart. And the suit he wears. Personality (rude, lovable, skanky, psychotic, yadi yada): Stays quiet. Never caused any trouble while he was incarserated. When any of the other inmates would start to anger him he would break legs, arms and spines but would never kill. Followed what the guards said without comment. Abilities/Disabilities: Unusually skilled and strong. That combined with his hight are quite imposing. Any charge that goes against his cybernetics puts him paralyzed. Tidbits and Quirks (oddities and habits worthy of noting): Hates speaking. You are a (Jedi, Smuggler, Sith, Senator, Droid, buttwipe, etcetera): Merc, Bounty hunter, Body guard, Soldier. Background (story prior to RP): He and the other four Epsilon units were mecinaries to an empire beyond the ourter rim. When they left the employ of this empire each were killed in turn exept for five who escaped barely. He has swarn to recreat the Epsilon units, or find the other four squads. Other (weapons choice, ship, anything I forgot to mention): Has no ship but had this uncatologued beam rifle with 'AERA-324 Prototype' printed on the side. A press of the trigger sends a bolt strong enough to burn through certain materials. A charged blast clings to things, then emits a pulse that shuts down opics. I admit i was lazy when i made it, but oh well. Any better? 10/19/2011 #81 |
![]() Can there be an Imperial Era Roleplay on here? Who is Gen!? 10/19/2011 #82 |
![]() As a matter of personal preference, I dislike the multiple "unknowns", but as I said, that's personal. The AERIS is now more believable as a weapon... And your addition of weaknesses is good. Anyway, it is better now, but rectify grammatical mistakes in the future... But from what I've seen on your RP posts, you use good syntax, spelling etc... Just a question: Won't it be quite difficult to RP a man who hates to speak? When you have the time, and, I stress, this is optional, I would like to know more about the E5 suit, e.g. appearance, mechanics behind the systems and all that. 10/19/2011 #83 |
![]() Short for Genevieve on the Halo RP, because I can't be mussed to type that thing out every time. Edit: If you wish to set one up, and the forum allows you to do so, sure thing. However, this must be subject to my approval, Indy's, and Flo's. If they have not contacted me within a week or so, then we'll see. Also, I would like a brief outline of what it's about. It needn't be more than a few lines, or even a sentence or two, just something to give me an idea as to the setting and gist of it. 10/19/2011 . Edited 10/19/2011 #84 |
![]() Yea sure, she can also drop. If you have any questions on the Androids, Protocols, or Marks just ask me. 10/19/2011 #85 |
![]() Will do. It's obvious you have a canon behind all of those concepts, and it would be a shame to waste it. As for other characters, you're welcome to anything else, I'd look forward to RPing. For now, the only Sith is the main-ish villain, Darth Ravius, so we have a shortage on them, but since we're still quite small I see openings everywhere. 10/19/2011 #86 |
![]() Alright... By the way... Is the Imperial Era the Empire vs Rebels or something different? Are you saying I or BloodFang have a canon behind our characters? 10/19/2011 #87 |
![]() Ok. Actually, I don't have a canon except for the one I made up in my mind while day dreaming ^^ 10/19/2011 #88 |
![]() That's the only canon I need :) What I mean is, you have a story behind your characters, planned out. Or so it seems to me, at least. Imperial is the Galactic Civil War, yes, Empire vs Rebels, slightly before that as well, stretching back to 19BBY (End of the Clone Wars), although I think androids started appearing around 10BBY... 10/19/2011 #89 |
![]() Yea, your right. Wanna hear it, or some of it? Good! Galatic Civil War will work very good! Although clone wars wouldn't be that bad... 10/19/2011 #90 |
