I don't know anything about Legacy of Darkness.

Legacy of Darkness is a very VERY underrated game, I had loads of fun playing it. It wasn't a masterpiece no, but it worked. I really miss my copy :(

Why is Legacy underrated?

Here's the synopsis. Cornell is a werewolf but is able to control himself and even go in and out of his wolf form at will. Even though he has full control and can choose to never use his wolf form, he feels that he is cursed because he still has access to it. There's another plot to resurrect Dracula, Cornell's girlfriend gets kidnapped, and he gives up his power to save her. It turns out that in removing his curse, he resurrected Dracula at full strength. Cornell just pretty much says, "Oh well, at least I'm not a werewolf anymore.

Really the point of the whole game was just so they could say that Christopher Belmont fought Dracula at full power.

It was later retconned along with Legends, Circle of the Moon, and the original Castlevania for Nintendo 64.

Why does he feel curse when he can go in and out at WILL. I think he should be happy to be able to control such power. Haha So, removing the curse resurrects Dracula at full strength? Seems Cornell really got the short end of the stick on that one. LOL

Yep. The original was made officially noncanon so Super Castlevania IV would be canon.
