"I'm leaving town for a few months tomorrow night. You'll have to wait a while."

Ian's pacing started to speed up.

"Enjoy your last day, Ian."

Christy came out of the store. "Got it." She handed him a book about puberty.

Ian turned to her, "I have something to tell you."

"What is it?" she asked innocently.

"Remember what I told you when I first saw you?"

"No?"

"I'm really Ian... your dog. Please. You have to believe me. I only have one night."

Christy frowned. "Ian, this isn't funny. You know Christy loves her doggy and feels really bad about him running away. You can't just tell her you're her puppy."

"How can I get you to believe me?" he started pacing.

"There isn't a way because you aren't puppy."

"But if I was?"

"Then... Christy doesn't know."

Ian kissed her.

Christy kissed him back.

"I'm sorry."

"Can we please drop that?" Christy asked quietly.

"Anything for you."

She kissed his cheek. "Let's go home..."

"Alright." he smiled.

Christy blushed when they got in. "Can you sleep in my room?"

He nodded, not registering her blush, "Of course."

Christy grabbed an outfit out of the dresser and pulled off her clothes. "Christy wants to... try something."

He watched her curiously.

She slipped on a slim nightgown.

He walked over to her.

Christy pulled him onto the bed with her and kissed his cheek.

He kissed her unsurely, not sure of what was going on.

Christy rubbed his shoulders.

He relaxed somewhat.
