I shook my head. "That's all right." Wine would only make Terin's headache worse, and I didn't want to drink without him.

~Terin~

I smiled, and ordered a bottle of a nice mixed fruit drink when the server came around.

Cariel-

I chewed on my lip as I looked over the menu. The crab cakes looked really nice...

~Terin~

I looked at the menu, and eventually settled on the squid stew. Belisaere was one of the few places in the Kingdom that did fresh squid, and I'd always been rather fond of it.

(OOC: Hello!)

Cariel-

We placed our orders, and I looked out the window at the boats. They really were very pretty. It was too bad I got seasick - or maybe that was just because I'd been pregnant, because I'd handled fishing on the Ratterlin when I was a child.

I suddenly realized that I'd been staring out of the window and all but ignoring Terin, and looked back at him sheepishly.

(OOC: Eek!)

~Terin~

I smiled, and reached out to tuck some of Cariel's hair behind her ear. 'Maybe, when I get some proper time off, we can take a boat out,' I suggested.

(OOC: *blinks*)

Cariel-

I smiled. "I'd like that," I said quietly. Maybe Terin would have more free time once Aedyn came back... Aedyn... I blinked and tried to focus.

(OOC: ^_^)

~Terin~

I grinned, then took Cariel's hand under the table, playing with her fingers.

(OOC: :B)

Cariel-

I immediately forgot about Aedyn, and almost put my elbow on my cutlery.

(OOC: *figurative!eyeroll*)

~Terin~

I smiled, then laughed softly.

(OOC: :BBB)

Cariel-

"Oh, stop it," I murmured, trying not to smile. Charter, if the mere touch of Terin's hand could make me react this way...

(OOC: *gasp* You have six tongues???)

~Terin~

I grinned cheekily. 'Why?'

(OOC: They cloned themselves. *proud!smile*)

Cariel-

"I think you're enjoying this a bit too much," I muttered, stifling a grin.

(OOC: *backs away slowly* Okaaaay...)

~Terin~

'Am I not allowed to enjoy being with you?' I asked innocently.

(OOC: :BBBBB They did it again!)

Cariel-

I bit my lip; I wasn't good at these word games.

(OOC: Holy crap!)

~Terin~

I looked at Cariel innocently for several minutes, and then felt the corners of my mouth creeping up in a smile.

(OOC: I know! It's amazing!)

Cariel-

I narrowed my eyes. "Oh, fine. You win."

(OOC: It's scary!)

~Terin~

'Excellent,' I said smugly.

(OOC: It's not scary! See? :BBBBB)

Cariel-

I grinned while at the same time I tried not to grin. I probably looked pretty ridiculous, but I didn't care.

(OOC: Eek! *runs and hides*)

~Terin~

The server soon arrived with our meals, and once he had gone again I cheekily stole a bit of Cariel's side salad.

(OOC: What did I do? *blinks*)

Cariel-

I gave an outraged gasp, and speared a morsel of squid from Terin's stew.

(OOC: *hiding* You tongues scare me!!!)

~Terin~

'How dare you!' I said in mock-offence.

(OOC: *sigh* Fiiiiine. *puts away tongues*)

Cariel-

"Oh, I dare," I said - rather daringly.

(OOC: Phew! *emerges from hiding place*)

~Terin~

I raised one eyebrow and stifled a grin. 'Oh, do you now?'

(OOC: :P)

Cariel-

"I do," I said archly - and tried to spear another bit of stew.

(OOC: You're a very scary person sometimes...)

~Terin~

I picked up my knife and stopped Cariel's fork getting any closer to my plate.

(OOC: I know. *evil!grin*)

Cariel-

I raised my eyebrows and tried again. And again. It took us a while to notice the server staring at us for sparring with the cutlery.

(OOC: *cowers*)

~Terin~

Cariel and I looked at the server for a while, and then I started to struggle with holding my laughter in.

(OOC: *sigh* Snaa, what are you doing here?)

(Snaa!OOC: *slinks off*)

Cariel-

I gave the server an apologetic smile. "Sorry," I whispered. He blinked and left, and I looked at Terin, who didn't look very sorry at all. I kicked him under the table.

(OOC: *blinks* That was Snaa?)

~Terin~

I wiped the grin off my face and put on a very solemn expression instead. 'Sorry, my lady,' I mumbled.
