"They would never agree," I murmured to Terin.

~Terin~

'Aedyn would be far too shy,' I said, nodding. 'He'd run a mile at the mere suggeston of it.'

Cariel-

"Then Betta will probably have to trick him into it somehow," I said wryly.

~Terin~

'Don't give her ideas,' I hissed - though, from the expression on Mum's face as she talked to Mira, she was already plotting something.

Cariel-

"Well, if it gets your brother to move along, maybe it'll be worth it," I said with a smile.

~Terin~

'I know,' I said wryly. 'Which is why she's not going to leave it.'

Cariel-

I smiled. "Poor Aedyn... though, he and the Queen did look rather good together. They obviously get along well. I just wonder if she actually returns his feelings."

~Terin~

I smiled too. 'Well, she did refuse about six other men while she was making her way over to Aedyn,' I pointed out. 'And then she accepted his invitation.'

Cariel-

"Do you think he even realizes that?" I asked.

~Terin~

I snorted. 'No.'

Cariel-

"Maybe you should tell him," I said, lightly prodding Terin's chest.

~Terin~

'Maybe,' I said with a smile.

Cariel-

I glanced over at the dance floor, where Aedyn was dancing with a Lady, and allowed my eyes to wander. "Oliver doesn't seem shy at approaching women he's interested in," I remarked, noticing where Oliver and his current partner were dancing awfully close to each other.

~Terin~

'That's because Oliver thinks that he's the best thing a woman can get,' I said dryly.

Cariel-

I gave a snort of laughter.

~Terin~

'He'll be in for a shock when he tries to go too far with one of the proper Ladies here,' I said wryly.

Cariel-

"You don't think he can recognize his type?" I asked.

~Terin~

'From what I've seen and heard, Oliver's 'type' is anyone who's female,' I said.

Cariel-

I smiled, but my smile wavered when I remembered the time that he had tried to go after me, of all people.

~Terin~

'It could be rather interesting to see how long it is before he gets slapped,' I said wryly.

Cariel-

"Maybe we should start taking bets," I suggested.

~Terin~

I laughed. 'Well, my money's on some time tonight,' I said. 'Knowing Oliver, he'll want to be taking some high-class Lady back to his bed.'

Cariel-

"Does he really go for the high-class ones, or is he not very particular?" I asked.

~Terin~

'He'll probably try for the one with the biggest chest,' I muttered dryly.

Cariel-

I laughed, and pretended to look around the room. "Now, who could that be..."

~Terin~

'I'm not even going to look,' I said flatly.

Cariel-

I smiled at Terin. "Good."

~Terin~

'To be honest, I'm surprised that Oliver's managed to get through the dances without falling over,' I said with a grin.

Cariel-

I smiled. "Is he a terrible dancer, then?"

~Terin~

'Well, I've only seen him do it in taverns, after quite a few ales,' I said wryly. 'And that doesn't tend to go very well.'
