Also known as Hades, home of the king of the dead, Hades, his wife, Persephone, the witch goddess, Hekate, the three-headed dog, Cerberus, the god of sleep, Hypnos, and the god of dreams, Morpheus. The Underworld has five rivers, Acheron (the river of sorrow), Cocytus (the river of lamentation), Phlegethon (the river of fire), Lethe (the river of forgetfulness), and Styx (the river of hate). It is split into three regions, the Elysian Fields where the great heroes, poets and musicians went after death, generally these souls were chosen by the gods, Acheron where the average soul went, and Tartarus where the worst sinners went.
