![]() A Discussion Thread for the 2007 sequel, Resident Evil: Extinction, written by Paul W.S. Anderson & directed by Russell Mulcahy (director of the original Highlander film). The film is notable for introducing Claire Redfield, Zombie Crows, the Tyrant and the demise of at least three major characters (Angie, via in the novelization, L.J and Carlos). Starer Questions: .Your Favorite Scene/Moment? .Your Least Favorite Scene/Moment? .Your Favorite Character? .Your Least Favorite Character? .Originally, "Extinction" was dubbed "Afterlife" and would feature a storyline that put [PROJECT] Alice in the role of the villain, controlled by Umbrella, while the Government worked to put a stop to Umbrella's activities. The film would've also featured Jill Valentine (presumably), but Sienna G. was filming the adaption of the novel, Eragon, and thus Claire/Ali Larter was brought in as a replacement. What do you think of the original storyline verses the one that was presented in the final product? .Favorite Song on the Soundtrack? .Favorite Ship from this movie in particular? .Overall Rating of the film (on a scale of 1 to 5)? 12/22/2010 #1 |
![]() .Your Favorite Scene/Moment? The beginning; where Alice ninjas her way out of the dog pit and the con artists get nomed on. XD .Your Least Favorite Scene/Moment? Carlos's death. T_T .Your Favorite Character? I hate favorite character questions because I never have just one. Alice will always be a favorite character though. And I always liked Carlos; he's just too cool. .Your Least Favorite Character? Dr. Isaacs. *punt* .Originally, "Extinction" was dubbed "Afterlife" and would feature a storyline that put [PROJECT] Alice in the role of the villain, controlled by Umbrella, while the Government worked to put a stop to Umbrella's activities. The film would've also featured Jill Valentine (presumably), but Sienna G. was filming the adaption of the novel, Eragon, and thus Claire/Ali Larter was brought in as a replacement. What do you think of the original storyline verses the one that was presented in the final product? Wow! I never knew that! I think I'd have liked to see that version of the movie; it'd be unique and a new take on the story. .Favorite Song on the Soundtrack? Scenotaph - Emmanuel.....and Sixth of June - It Dies Today. ^_^ It's like characters; I can't pick only one. .Favorite Ship from this movie in particular? AliceXCarlos. Of course. .Overall Rating of the film (on a scale of 1 to 5)? 4. Knocked off a point for them not explaining Angie and Jill's absence in the movie (I read the book so that filled me in but still.) Also Carlos and L.J. dying. Not cool man. XD 11/21/2011 #2 |
