Topaz TwilightsTopic: Wes/Fred I was surprised that there wasn't a topic up here for just Wes and Fred, seeing as how they were THE unrequited romance and tragic love story of the show. So I thought I'd start one. I thought from the beginning of Season 3 that the writers would cut Wes (and us) some slack and just let him and Fred get together already. The boy was pining over her from the beginning, and what went wrong? A sort of demonic possession, in which he stalked her maniacally through the Hyperion and possibly ruined his chance with her. And then there's Gunn. What kind of friend are you, to know that your best friend has been hopelessly in love with a girl you merely fancy for so long, and go for her anyway? It shows little character to me. And it always disgusted me. | #1 Jan 22nd 2007, 12:33pm | |

MrBillyDThis is the reason why fanfiction exists in the first place; so we can do things with the characters, that we wish had happend on the show.I have a story posted here in the Angel Section, titled "Some of God's People Got Fangs", in which Fred and Wesley are engaged to be married. However he begins to have second thoughts, when after a long weekend, she shows up for work at Wolfram and Hart, undead and with a brand new pair of fangs. If you have any stories about the two of them, please let me know. |

Aquarius-1977Wes and Fred were totally tragic! Fred getting turned into a demon and Wesley dying--that whole thing hurt my feelings! :'( |

MrBillyDHello Aquarius-1977:You might be interested in reading my story "Undead Winifred", in which Wesley deals with Fred's approaching death, in a very different way than was presented on the Show. |

Aquarius-1977Hey, thanks! I'm gonna be a little short on time over the next few weeks, what with editing the fanzine and getting my own pieces ready for it and such, but I'd be very interested to see your story and will take a look at it asap. |

The 3rd LI hate it when people say "Wes liked her first", you don't know that, Wesley's felling were the only ones they expressed verbally, and he only told them to Cordelia so how would Gunn know that Wes liked her. The first time Wes ever showed any fellings toward Fred was in the episode Billy (were he tries to kill Fred), in episodes before that there are small hints that Gunn liked her as well. All Wes did was obsess over her and think how lovely she was, Gunn told her how lovely she was, plus Gunn/Fred were a much more exciting couple than Fred/Wes, They're to much alike and would have gotten boring quick (just like they did in Season 5) THE unrequited romance and tragic love story of the show was Angel and Cordy, they never fully expressed their love and only shared one real kiss between them (that's a tragedy). |
