Ok the basic consept of a graceling....lets see

A gracling is a child who has unnatural abilities, such as: see distances, fighting unnaturaly fast, making people fall asleep when they speak, swimming like a fish, not having to breath, reading minds((mind readers can do one thing, and it shifts as they grow up not fully settling untill they are in their 20's)), the like. These abilities are called Grace's and the person a Gracling. A grace normaly forms in the first couple of months, sometimes a year after birth and in the rarest occurences when the child is older. When a grace is formed a child will sleep and wake up with eyes two different colors. Gracelings are feared and shunned. But they are considered usefull in most cases. Like a gifted wine maker or baker works for the king.(or queen))

Name: Ashara Halen

Age: looks around 17ish

Grace?: Graced with the ability to sense the location of things around her

Personality: shy and secluded, she prefers no to be in peoples company

Appearance: to much horror she doesnt wear dresses like shes supposed to but wears boys clothes. She wears blue trousers and a white linnen long sleeve shirt. She also wears black leather boots. Her black hair is cut boyishly short because she hates how long it is.

eye colors(if graced): The left is the color of melted chocolate the other as colorless and grey as a stone.

History: Born in lenid she was praised for being an extreemly well fighter able to hold her own against men. People think her grace is fighting and she doesnt have the inclination of telling them they are wrong. She fled because her mother had made remarks that hinted to her her father might have a chance of finding out. Her father is the king and she is Po's older sister. She is now traveling through the middluns in the guise of a boy. She wears a bandage across her right eye so that it looks like she got in a bad fight and noone would see she was a graceling. She found out her grandfather was captured and trying to find him.

goals: to find the grandfather.

other: she carries many weapons on her and other things for survival. She is riding a horse.

Grace?: She can see into peoples hearts and use there emotions, desiers, pains and loves against them with words.

Personality: Elva is a slightly crule girl, she uses her powers to benefit herself most of the time.

History: Elva is the princess of the Kingdom Estil(Will change the kingdom if needed), she left at the young age of 6 to be on her own. She has been doing very good on her own.

goals: To free the Gracelings from the service of others.

Other: she has the voice of a women.

i think i need to clarify this. a mind reader in Gracelings is any person that can sense or feel any persons thoughts or emotions. Po is a mind reader. he could sense others emotions but not thoughts unless he was in them. because of the emotion sensing this enabled him to pinpoint the location of people close by.

that's really stupid........

-shrugs- in a way it makes sense though. wouldnt they be tapping into a person s concious to find out emotions and desires? anyway complain to the author its the way she made it~

History: Angela's past is a large mystery, but about a year before Elva left she had become her tutor.

goals: To go wherever significant events are taking place.

Grace?: His voice causes plants to grow, he's starting to be able to control it better.

Personality: He's very shy and quiet, but he will talk when its needed

History: Sam was a graceling in Elva's fathers court, when she 'convinced' her father to let the graceling's be free he decided to stay with her and Angela.

Grace?: being able to shift from human to cat, because of this ability he has stayed small like a child.

Personality: Solembum is a very fierce fighter, but also a very lazy cat.

Human Appearance: His human appearance is that of a boy with shaggy black hair. While in his human form he was often seen wielding a black dagger.

eye colors(if graced): Instead of having two different color eyes his eyes consistently change from gold to blue.

History: History: He has stayed near Angela mostly in his cat form since he was about 5 years old, hardly ever changing back into his human guise.

goals: None really, he has stayed near Angela since he was about 5 and had been in his cat form wandering around for a year.

Name: Emerald

Age: 18

Gender: Female

Grace?: Herbs, medicine and poison

Personality/History: Em is kind, and loves to help others, though she's been graced since she was 3 her grace wasn't learned until 2 weeks ago when she helped her brother get better from an illness that almost killed him, when she was sent back to the king after her visit home he sent her to his son to have her grace refined. Before it was thought that she was just an exceptional gardener because she was so good at growing herbs.

Appearance: Em has long chocolate brown hair that has a slight green tint to it in the sunlight. She is petite, standing at 5'1" and is rather skinny. eye colors: Her right eye is a dark emerald green and her left is a light chestnut brown.

goals: To help everyone she can with her grace and to never let the king know she can make poisons to.

other: She has a crush on Prince Raffin.
