![]() "We might," Kunbo said a little uneasily, looking over to Carlo. ~*~*~ Pan sat down next to them, looking up at Sylvia in worry. Hadn't she been sick on the Pearl, as well? 7/12/2011 #301 |
![]() Carlo glanced up at Kunbo, also uneasy. But, this was the safest place in Tortuga, without spending money at some ratty inn. "I don't think we have a choice..." Carlo sighed, looking down at Faria. It would be hard trying to carry her around everwhere, not to mention dangerous. "I have an extra bed you can use, also a few blankets," Vivi offered, "it's alright, I don't bite..." She winked at the two and walked off to go find some blankets. "She's...interesting," Carlo muttered, brushing a piece of Faria's hair away from her face. He didn't believe in magic, but now it was very hard to say that he didn't. ---- Sylvia nodded, taking a few deep breaths. She wasn't sure what was wrong, but wasn't there anybody on the ship who could help? "I'll go get Edgar, maybe he has an idea," Cutler nodded, kowing he had seen almost everything in his years at sea. He rushed out onto the deck and found him. "Edgar, Sylvia isn't well, I was wondering if you might be able to help," he asked, wondering if this man stll held a grudge from earlier. 7/12/2011 #302 |
![]() "I feel that is an understatement, my friend," Kunbo muttered, watching as she walked off. He looked over to Carlo. "Well, do you still say you don't belive in magic?" ~*~*~ Edgar looked back, already over what had happened. He didn't believe in holding grudges. That was something he'd learned after loosing a son in battle. "I can try," he agreed, walking back to the Cabin. "Could you tell me how you feel, Sylvia?" He asked, kneeling next to her. 7/12/2011 #303 |
![]() Carlo smiled slightly, looking down at Faria. "I can't say," he laughed slightly, "maybe this is just a dream..." Here he was, holding Faria, who was actually alright. He felt great, but was lightly worried about the magic which had brought her back. "Explain this to me," he stated, "what does it mean that Davy Jones has her soul?" --- Sylvia looked away, trying to describe it. "It's sort of like I'm seasick..." She stated, glancing at her stomach, "but I hardly ever do..." 7/12/2011 #304 |
![]() (Heading to bed. See you tomorrow.) Kunbo paused, looking over at Faria. "Tell me, have you ever heard of Davy Jones?" ~*~*~ "What about the pain? Blunt or sharp?" 7/12/2011 #305 |
![]() (See yah!) "I've heard a few tales over the years, but I figured they were just legends..." He started with a sigh. ---- "It's sharp, but goes away eventually," Sylvia nodded. 7/12/2011 #306 |
![]() (Dude....I was up coughing most of the night. Going to a doctor tomorrow hopefully. Alright, what would you like to be wrong with Sylvia???) "He was once a man, but he fell in love. However, his heart was broken when his lover did not come to meet him one day. Mad with rage, he tore out his own heart and became a monster. He now holds the bargain of all souls." Kunbo told the stories. ~*~*~ Edgar frowned, knowing that wasn't good. "For now, I want you to lay down and rest." 7/13/2011 #307 |
![]() Carlo looked away, the story sending a slight chill down his spine. Now he really didn't want to pursue this man...or monster. He glanced at Faria, who looked as if she was still peacefully sleeping, then back to Kunbo. "And what if we don't get her soul back," he asked, "what then?" ----- Sylvia nodded and layed down on the bed. She didn't like the idea of just laying around all day, but she knew it was the best thing. (Well that sucks, I kept my self awake all night with coffee once when I had bronchitis, it is not pleasent. It also sucks when you're at school coughing all day...I hope u get better!!! Hmmm.....Sylvia...I was thinkig she should have a baby, just because a little beckett would be adorable :3) 7/13/2011 #308 |
![]() (Nyaaaw! So adorable.) "A trade can always be made. However, I do not know if her soul would stay with Vivi, or with Davy Jones. Rumour is, those who stay with Davy Jones become sea-monsters themselves." Kunbo shuddered. ~*~*~ Pan stayed next to the bed, watching Sylvia with worry. Edgar turned to Beckett. "We should be back to Port Royal by morning with these winds. Perhaps you ought to rest as well?" 7/13/2011 #309 |
![]() "That's...not good," Carlo sighed, wishing for just a moment that he didn't get himself in this mess. Just as he finished talking, Vivi arrived back in the room with an armful of blankets. "Here you are," she smiled, setting them down in front of them, "make yourself comfortable." It had been awhile since she had guests, and even though she was solitary, she loved company ever so often. She turned away, enjoying her lifestyle, at least it was a lot better than the previous one she had. ---- "Right," Beckett nodded, glancing out the window, "goodnight." He wasn't in the greatest of moods now, and worrying about Sylvia didn't help one bit. 7/13/2011 #310 |
![]() (Gaaaah! Just deleted my post :P) "Thank you, Vivi," Kunbo thanked as he took one of the blankets. He helped Carlo kind a more suitable area in the room for Faria to sleep and placed a blanket on top of her. He looked back over to Vivi. "I must ask, if we find Davy Jones, but we fail in our task, will her soul still belong to you, or will it be his?" ~*~*~ Pan once again placed her doll next to Sylvia, before following Edgar out. Both had decided it might be best to leave Sylvia and Beckett alone. 7/13/2011 #311 |
![]() Vivi turned and offered him a smile. "Davy Jones is a...complicated man," she admitted, "but technically I still own her, unless I decided to trade her over...which would be the only way her soul can be truly free." Carlo raised a brow. "I don't understand," he admitted. Vivi rolled her eyes with a dramatic sigh. "Let me put it this way," she started, "with me owning her soul, I cannot free it, that is not in my power. But, if Davy Jones owns it, only he can truly free it." ---- Beckett sighed, getting up to get ready to go to bed. "Maybe it's nothing serious," he told her, "you might just be seasick." 7/13/2011 #312 |
![]() "May I ask what you plan to do?" Kunbo asked curiously. However, he didn't expect much of an answer. ~*~*~ "Will she be okay?" Pan asked Edgar, who looked down at her. "I'm quite sure she will be fine, Pan. My wife will take a look once we get to Port Royal." 7/13/2011 #313 |
![]() "Ah, curious are we?" Vivi smiled, "it all depends on what you want to do. I intend to hand her over to Jones, then leave the rest to you...but if you'd like to do anythig different, then let me know." her smiled was eerie, something that could be rarely trusted. ---- Once Beckett had gotten ready, he and Sylvia retired to bed. Both were worried, but they tried not to let them bother them too much. 7/13/2011 #314 |
![]() Kunbo opened his mouth, before shutting it. "Well, thank you for your help, Vivi." At that, he went to sleep. ~*~*~ As Edgar predicted, they arrived to Port Royal late morning. After docking, all the soldiers helped getting everything off. "Welcome home," he said to Beckett and Sylvia. 7/13/2011 #315 |
![]() Carlo went to sleep as well, after he checked on Faria one last time. Vivi glanced over the two and walked into the back. ~~ Faria blinked her eyes open, finding she was still in that strange shack. She saw early morning light peeking through the window and sat up, rubbing her eyes. She looked at her hands and realized that they weren't wings, and that she was human again! She smiled, then tok the time to look around her. She looked down and saw Carlo sleeping soundly away, bringing a smile across her lips. Of course they were both still sleeping, that was just like them. ----- "Thank-you," Sylvia smiled to him, suddenly feeling much better than she had yesterday. Beckett locked his arm with hers and headed off the ship. Sylvia glaced behind her to see if Pan was coming, not wanting her to be afraid. 7/13/2011 #316 |
![]() Kunbo groaned, slowly blinking himself awake. He looked over, seeing Faria. "Good morning, miss Faria." ~*~*~ Pan was following, staying closer to Edgar, wanting to keep away from Beckett. As they came to the land, two voices could be heard over the rest. "They're back! They're back!" Two boys were running over to them. "Mr. Beckett! Mr. Harvey! You're back!" The lighter skinned, younger boy said excitedly. "DId you find anything new?" The darker skinned boy asked. Edgar couldn't help but laugh. "Not this time, Peter, Timmy," he liked the boys. The boys were always there the moment the ship got back, always going to Beckett and Edgar to see if they had found anything or brought anything back. Both boys wanted to sail when they were older, and respected Edgar and Beckett highly. 7/13/2011 #317 |
![]() "Morning?" Faria replied groggily, placing a had to her head, "is it really morning already?" She shut her eyes as her head throbbed, she had the worst headache. Carlo woke up to the commotion and sat up warily, looking over to see Faria awake. "Thank-god," he muttered under his breath, immediatly throwng his arms around her. "Ow...take it easy," she muttered, "did I hit my head or something?" ---- Beckett smiled at the two, though e wasn't a big fan of children at all. He let Edgar do the talking. Sylvia on the other hand, absolutely loved them. "Look how big you two have gotten!" She cooed. 7/13/2011 #318 |
![]() "After recent...events....Can you blame us for being thankful to see you?" Kunbo asked with raised eyebrows. ~*~*~ "Miss Sylvia! You're alright!" Timothy had heard about her kidnapping. The boys spent so much time out in the streets playing around and causing some trouble, that they often heard a lot more than adults wanted them to. Peter peered from around Sylvia, noticing Pan. "Who's he?" he asked. Pan quickly hid behind Edgar. 7/13/2011 #319 |
![]() Faria laughed slightly, taking her hand away from her head. "I guess not," she smiled, "I'm glad the feathers are gone." She glanced at her stomach, half-expecting a nasty wound, but instead, it was perfect. She had never meant to get involved with magic of any sort, but she was so lost and confused, she had no other choice. "You have no idea how happy I am," Carlo smiled, giving her a quick peck on the lips. ----- "Oh," Sylvia started, "this is Pan. And she is not a he," she tried to explain, "so treat her nicely." 7/13/2011 #320 |
![]() Kunbo couldn't help but give a small smile. Heading over towards the door, he looked back at the other three. "I'm going to go find Gibbs, see when the Captain plans on leaving." ~*~*~ "But, she doesn't look like a he," Peter commented, getting a jba in the side from Timothy, who was older and knew better than to make comments like that. "Ow!" "Nice to meet'cha Pan!" Timothy said, holding his hand out. Again, Pan stayed behind Edgar. 7/13/2011 #321 |
![]() "Alright," Carlo nodded, stepping away from Faria. She seemed a little dazed, but nothing too major. Vivi appeared, smiling when she saw Faria. "Ah, she awakens," she purred, "though I did quite like having a canary." ----- Sylvia could tell Pan was uneasy, and turned to offer her a smile. "It's alright, they won't hurt you," she tried to convince, "they wouldn't hurt a fly." 7/13/2011 #322 |
![]() Kunbo left to look for Gibbs, finding him and Jack quickly in a Tavern. "Good morning, Mr. Gibbs, Captain Jack Sparrow." He said, sitting down across from him. ~*~*~ Pan still seemed a little uneasy, and watched as both boys ran off. "They're going to get themselves into trouble again, those two," Edgar chuckled. He looked back at the three. "Perhaps we ought to go back to your mansion so you can rest?" He asked Sylvia and Beckett. "I can call upon Mary to take a look at you, Sylvia," Mary was his wife. While fairly strict, she had her heart in the right place. she was also known to be an amazing nurse. 7/13/2011 #323 |
![]() "Morning," jack greeted hoarsely, having drank slightly too much the night before. He knew they had to leave soon, and he did have the rum and supplies already aboard. ---- Beckett and Sylvia both nodded, extremely happy to be back in Port Royal. Though, Beckett wasn't at all happy with the staying arrangements, he had his fiance to worry about. "Thank-you, Edgar," Sylvia smiled to him, "that would be lovely." 7/13/2011 #324 |
![]() "I think I have found two people for the Pearl, Jack. One whom you have already met. The other, I do not know if you have met her or not. But, it is the only way for the first." "Who?" Gibbs asked. "Miss Faria and Miss Vivi, the Voodoo woman." ~*~*~ They all got into a fairly large carriage. This seemed to amuse Pan, who quickly asked Edgar about it. He easily explained it, taking her unknowing to the different culture in stride. Soon enough, they were at Beckett's manor. Another carriage arrived, where a woman quite a bit older than Sylvia emerged. "Honestly, Edgar. You told me you were to be back weeks ago," she scoled. "Of course, my dear, but with the recent events-" she cut her husband off. "But nothing, you still could have sent me a message." Mary turned to Sylvia. "Sylvia, my darling, how have you been? I heard of your misfortune. Tell me, you're not hurt, are you?" Her tone of voice had quickly changed from scolding to concerned. Edgar couldn't help but laugh at the change. He had married quite a woman, a little spitfire. But he loved that. 7/13/2011 #325 |
![]() "Faria?" Jack questioned, raising a brow, "are you pulling me leg?" At first it made absolutely no sense. They had buried her on that island, but suddenly at the mention of Vivi, he knew. "Ah, Vivi," Jack sighed, having no desire to see her again. They had a...history, and let's just say his encounters never ended well. ---- "I'm fine," Sylvia smiled to her, "they were quite a different breed of pirate...sort of..." She laughed slightly, glancing at Beckett, who seemed to give her a sideways glare. 7/13/2011 #326 |
![]() "I am being quite honest. You had a need yourself to go to Davy Jones, correct?" He asked Jack, not caring if he was overstepping boundaries. "Well, now Carlo and I do as well." ~*~*~ "Actually, we need you to take a look at Sylvia here. She says she wasn't feeling too well," Edgar told her. Mary nodded. "Well, come on then! Get inside, all of you! Let's not wait for the grass to grow!" Edgar chuckled as he head in, knowing better than to argue with his wife. "Beckett, dear, it's wonderful to see you again," Mary smiled. 7/13/2011 #327 |
![]() Jack looked away, knowing he was right. But, when he heard that they needed to go as well, he was curious. "Indeed I do," Jack admitted, even though he was trying to avoid Jones at all cost, "but why is it that you have a reason?" ---- "Likewise," Beckett smiled to her, taking Sylvia's arm and leading her inside. Sylvia laughed slightly, amused with Mary as always. 7/13/2011 #328 |
![]() "To free faria's soul, assuming Vivi hands it over to Davy jones. Sadly, I do not know of her intentions as of yet." ~*~*~ Mary took Sylvia into a room, keeping the men out. She was with a few other maids. (So, pregnancy?) 7/13/2011 #329 |
![]() (Yesh :3) "That's Vivi for you," Jack smirked, "so that's what Faria was up to? She's gotten herself involved with Davy Jones, smart girl." He laughed slightly with a flourish of his hands, feeling a little better that he wasn't the only one. ---- Sylvia sat down on the edge of the bed, looking rather worried. She just hoped it was nothing serious, that would make everyone feel better. 7/13/2011 #330 |
