Taylor Mckessie and Chad Danforth have been best friend pretty much since they were born so it was time before they got together. That happened during the summer before freshman year. They shared their first kiss together when they were at a party their parents were holding.

Taylor was happier than ever as was Chad but the thing is Chad was a jock and Taylor a nerd their friendship was never the in thing so when they hit high school Chad just ditch Taylor leaving her heart broken and without a friend because he'd been her only friend when he had loads.

Junior year is here and the two are now not on speaking terms all Taylor does is insult him now for leaving her hanging like he did during freshman year. Of course she's still got feelings for him but she'd never tell him that but with Gabriella arriving and the whole social scale changing will the two be able to express their feelings for each other once again or will they never been able to be together.

As I sat in homeroom that day I saw Troy day dream like normal but before that he'd been looking right past Sharpay and at the new girl who'd taken the empty seat in the back of the classroom. I found that odd but that was last I thought it for now. For now I couldn't help but stare at that lush amount of hair that belonged to the guy i'm meant to hate.

I raised an eyebrow at Troy as he started daydreaming. I almost thought i saw him eye the new girl. I rolled my eyes, not even knowing what he was thinking. I turned behind me briefly only because of the fact that I kept feeling like I'm being watched. But all I saw behind me was the nerd Taylor.

I continued to just look forward even when Danforth looked at me. He used to be my best friend but then high school came he dropped me faster than a sac of potatoes. I don't care though. I mean I do care but I'm just trying to move on with my life and push those feeling that I used to hold for Chad as far down as I can. Though every time I see if into his eyes I see the moment we had our first kiss with each other. It was short but sweet and it was just enough to seal my feelings for Chad.

I quickly turned back around, tryig to bring myself back to reality. I mean, I didn't even know why I looked back in the first place. There was nothing between us and there never was. Every time I saw her I tried to convince myself of that, and that there was no way we could even be together to begin with. But I knew that no matter what i did I still had feelings for her and I couldn't forget that. All I could try to do was surpress them. I tried my best to stay focused on the lesson.

I looked around myself when I heard a cell phone start to ring. I knew it wasn't mine but I wanted to know who would be made enough to have their cell phones on during one of Darbus's lessons. I saw the Evans twin's get their phones out ending up with them getting them taken away and given detention. I spotted that the new girl had her phone as well and have it taken away. wow what a way to make an impact getting a detention on your first day. Darbus that placed her phone bucket on Troy's table as well giving him a detention as well.

My eyes widened when Troy took out his phone and ended up getting caught by Darbus. What was he even doing? He knew better than this. I had to forget about Taylor and get Troy out of this mess. After all basketball was way more important than detention. "Miss Darbus, your honor, Troy can't even do detention today. See cause we have basketball practice and Troy..." I would have kept going on about how important it was for the team captain to not miss practice but Darbus cut me off and ended up giving me detention.

"You to Mr Danforth fifteen minutes. Count em." Darbus told Chad as she put her phone bucket on her desk.

When she said that "That could be tough for Chad since he probably can't count that high." slipped out of my mouth. I mean I don't know what even made me say it but I did and that landed me in detention as well.

I turned around to Taylor. Oh no, she did not just call me stupid did she? I was so gonna get that nerd for it.

"Taylor McKessie, fifteen minutes." Darbus scolded.

I was a little shocked when I heard that. That so did not just happen. I did not get detention. I was to good get detention "What?" I said look at Darbus.

I couldn't help but smirk towards Taylor. Maybe that'd show her not to make fun of me in the middle of class. She so got what she deserved. And then of course Darbus had to go on lecturing us that holidays were over and we shouldn't continue acting like we were still on vacation.

I was just so glad to get out of there at the end of the class. I had had enough of Darbus and her rambling about random stuff which i really wasn't listening to since it was just talking about her and then how we shouldn't keep acting like we were still on our holidays which I greatly wished we were.

I headed out of class the next chance I got, telling Troy I'd see him in detention. No way coach was gonna be happy with that. So there was only one thing to do about it - blame it on Taylor. I didn't really want to but I had to save my rep somehow. "Way to go giving me detention like that McKessie." I said sarcastically.

I looked around Chad when I heard him say that to me " What? It wasn't my fault you get detention. Though on the other hand it was your fault that I got detention." I mean if he wasn't a complete douche then I wouldn't have had to say what I did to him.

"Right, it was my fult you decideed to open your big mouth and say something stupid and uncalled for." I rolled my eyes. Ok that came out a little harsher than I thought it would, but I wasn't completely wrong...was I?

"You so know it's true though." I responded to him. Okay maybe I shouldn't have said that but I just couldn't help myself. He always seemed to press the wrong buttons with me though. However, I really didn't know what to do.

"Yeah I know it's true that you have a big mouth but that's no secret. Everyone knows what a big mouth you have." I replied.Oh yeah, this was gonna end up getting pretty fighty.

"Whatever." I said turning away from Chad. I wasn't gonna hang around if we were just going to get into an argument with each other. I mean I hated our public fights actually I just hated our fights all together but then again i could never admit that.

"Fine, cause it's obvious you're just such a chicken." I replied. I turned away as to not face her and just tucked my basketball under my arm. As much as I liked our fighting, only cause it was the only time we could seem to talk to each other, this had to end.

I scoffed and then turned back to Chad for a few moments "I'm so not a chicken." I then complete turned to look at him and folded my arms. "What makes me such a chicken then?"

I turned again to face her. "You're chicken to fight with me cause you know you're gonna end up losing."

"Who says that i'm gonna lose?" I said looking right into Chad's eyes. I focused myself on the present though rather stuff that happened in the past.

My eyes met with hers and tried my best to keep focus on the argument. "I say so. And I think you know you're gonna lose, too."

"Just because you say something's going to happen doesn't mean that it's going to." I said to him still trying to keep myself in complete focus on the argument. Don't think about how cute you think Chad is when he does this.

"Oh so if I say something it's automatically gonna mean the opposite of what it's gonna be." I said sarcastically. "Like if I say I showered today it means I didn't shower today. Or if I say school is boring that means it's fun. Or if I say you're ugly it really means you'r hot." Wait.... Oops.
