The vegetation is bouncy, and you don't bounce off of "tough skin". The bulblax has a sticky substance excreted on it's back that makes stuff stick to it. Nothing more.

B) Moss is simply thousands of little, um, stalks, while a mushroom is one smooth surface. The Blaxcap is totally smooth, and it is curved.

2.The Blaxcap is just a fungus that grows on the Emperor's secretions and the rotted material. Other debris can stick to the Emperor's back, most of it rotting under the Blaxcap, some being targets that the Blaxcap can't grow on. Say, rocks.
