Rudder glanced over from his desk "Very nice, Zikya." he said as the mech's spark seemed to defrost a little, letting him flash the little child a warm smile, his first in years, at least not since Duster was little.

Zikya giggled, then she moved to his desk, climbed onto it, and sat down. ".....When.....when I'm older.....I, I want....want to be a, a scientist."

Rudder reached over and then rubbed her head "When your older, I'll take you on myself." he said with a smile "You can help me here in the lab and I'll teach what I know." though that was some time away, it didn't hurt to plan for the future.

Zikya's look softened, and she nodded. Then, she got an idea. She then stood up. "Rudder! Follow!" she said, before climbing down the desk, and headed towards the door. "Sky!" she then called out, and said cassette soon arrived.

"Yes?" she asked, and Zikya whispered something to her, and Sky grinned, nodding, then wondered away.

Rudder's face-plate was firmly over his mouth by he time Sky arrived, he wasn't all that happy to see that the 'Bug' was involved, though he didn't stop her from doing whatever it was the sparkling was up to.

Zikya then looked back to Rudder. "Come on! Find mommy!" she said, before wondering away to find Crystal.

Rudder was starting to wonder if he would ever get back to his work, with a small sigh he stood up and began to walk after the sparkling, making sure that no harm came to her.

Sky had wondered over to Crystal, and had asked her to turn on the radio, to see if any songs she liked were playing. And, it just so happened one of them were.

Crystal turned on the radio, and one of her favorite, yet sad, songs was playing. The tune was slow, and it started out sad, but she just loved the song. She took in a breath, and started to sing. "You were standing in the wake of devastation. When you were waiting on the edge of the unknown. And with the cataclysm raining down, insides crying save me now, you were there and possibly alone." As she sang, a few bots walking nearby slowed down to listen to her singing, before continuing to walk on, finding her voice quite beautiful. It was rare that the femme sang. Then, the beat started to grow a bit faster. "Do you feel cold and lost in desperation. You build up hope of failures all you've known. Remember all the sadness and fusteration, and let it goooooooo....Let it go. And in the burst of light that blined every angel. As if the sky had blown the heavens into stars. You felt the gravity of tempered grace, falling into empty space. No one there to catch you in their arms. Do you feel cold and lost in desperation. You build up hope of failures all you've known. Zikya had been nearby while she was singing, and at seeing her, Crystal's look softened, and she gently picked her up, nuzzling her. Crystal was grumpy at times, but, she really was a gentle femme.

Rudder had heard the femme singing and slowed his pace, not wanting to just burst into the room and shock her. He waited until she was done before following Zikya right into the room and over to Crystal "Your daughter is awake..." he said, a little late, but he had no idea what else to say.

Crystal looked to him, then back to Zikya, nuzzling her. "I can see that." she said. "This little femme is a troublemaker at times." she said. "But, I still love her....." she said, holding her close. Though, Zikya then looked to Rudder, and she grinned, before she pounced onto his shoulder, and sat there, smirking.

"Can't get me!" she laughed. She had a little plan in mind, since the sparkling knew that her mom liked Rudder.

"She can be..." He stated as he raised a hand up to help steady the little robot, not wanting her to fall off and hurt herself.

Crystal sighed. "Zikya, come on....." she said, but Zikya only grinned, shaking her head.

"No! Come get me!" she giggled. Crystal sighed, then she looked to Rudder, then to Zikya, then back to Rudder, now knowing what her sparkling was trying to do. "Oh no Zikya, I don't think so....." she said. Zikya frowned, then huffed, though did pounce back onto Crystal, who chuckled. Though, she then got a mischevious grin, and she gently set Zikya on the floor. "Sky, take Zikya back to the lab." she said, and Sky nodded, and she and Zikya walked away. Making sure they wondered away, she looked back to Rudder, and her grin grew into a smirk.

"So she is going to be living with me?" Rudder asked as a little frost came from his face-plate, the first sign of his icy side since Zikya began working on the grouchy Transformer.

"Not really, maybe only once in a while. Don't worry, she won't bother you." she chuckled, then grinned. "But, me, on the other hand, will bother you....." she grinned, and wondered over to him, her look softening to one of a flirtatious look, and placed a gentle hand on his shoulder. "I'm just full of tricks....." she smirked.

"I don't mind..." The mech said slowly before adding "Zikya I mean, she is charming. Your a pain in my aft." Rudder said with a low grunt in his voice as he narrowed his eyes at Crystal, clearly not one to give in to the femme.

Crystal seemed to know this, but she was a stubbern femme. "I know, but hey, being a pain in the aft is my job." she chuckled, then placed a hand on the side of his face, leaning her head in close. "You know, did anyone ever tell you that you're very, very hansome?" she said, but she really did mean this, even if she was smirking.

There was quite a heavy cloud of frost coming from Rudder as he seemed to be rendered speechless, at least for the moment. "No..." He stated slowly as he leaned a little closer to the femme "And for an insufferable, nosy, pain in the aft who seems to have unloaded a child on me in spite of the trouble my own causes..." he paused as it almost seemed to hurt him to continue "you aren't so hard on the optics either."

Crystal's smirk grew, and she leaned in even closer, her face only inches away from his. "I thought so, Rudder." she grinned. "You may be one the most grumpiest mechs I've met, but I like that trait in a mech." she said, then her look softened. ".....but, you really are a sweet mech." she said, and she gave his face mask a kiss on the side, then nuzzled the side of his face. ".....seeing how you acted with my sparkling, well, it was pretty sweet."

There was a small clank as the plate retracted "And you didn't shoot mine on sight..." he stated as he glanced down at the femme's wide optics, of course he would never get into something like this if Duster was against it, as much of a jerk as he could be he did want his own daughter to be happy, in spite of how mean-spirited the two were.

"Well, she may be grumpy like you at times....." she said, "but, I can tell she has a good spark." she said. Her optics flicked to his mouth, and she smiled, but not a mischevious one, but a real, genuine smile. "Now, to do something I've been wanting to do for a while....." she said.....

.....and she placed her lips over his, and kissed him.

Right away there was a sudden rush of cold air as he slowly reached out, wrapping his arms around the femme as he pulled her chassi to his, making up for their height difference by lifting Crystal off the ground and closer to his eager lips.

Crystal wrapped her own arms around his neck, her optics offlining as she continued to kiss him, deepening the kiss. There was no mistaking it now, she really did love him, and she wouldn't lie to herself either about it.

Even though Rudder was as cold on the inside as he was outside, there was something that just felt right about having the femme in his arms and the odd flutter her lips caused his spark to suffer through.

After another few more moments of this, Crystal then pulled away, but she remained leaning on him, her head resting on his shoulder. She wanted to say her feelings to him, she really did, but a part of her was just too shy to say it. She sighed, but then she gathered what courage she had, and looked at him, her optics holding that gentle look. "You know, even when I first saw you, and even though you're a grumpy mech.....I really did say it was love at first sight for me." she said, then glanced away, trying to hide her blushing faceplates. She wasn't one to admit her spark's feelings, but to him, she could get used to it. ".....I really do like.....no.....I really doloveyou."

Rudder stared back at her as he slowly set the femme back down on the ground, it seemed that he was stunned for the second time that day, the mech took a good long moment to understand just what it was Crystal had confessed to. His mouth opened for a moment as he reached for the right words "I have always assumed that love is not for me." he said slowly as he raised a hand to caress her cheek "I'm dedicated to my work and it took all the time I had...but when Duster came I began to doubt that this was true." he explained as he leaned his head down a little "Then you..." he said slowly "You are for me."

(Awww, Mr.Freeze has a heart!...er Spark.)

Crystal's look softened further, and she placed her hand over his. "I guess we really are for the other....." she said, and leaned on his chest, wrapping her arms around him a bit tighter, giving his neck a kiss, and resting her head on his shoulder.

It was a tender moment, one that neither of them really wanted to break it, but all aof a sudden Rudder opened his mouth "I'm never going to get any work done at this rate..."

Crystal sighed, though she nodded. "Then I'll let you get back to your work." she said, then gave him a kiss on the lips, and took a step back. "I'll see you later." she said, then turned around and walked away.

Rudder watched her for a moment before crossing his arms and calling out "That doesn't mean I want you to leave! Just do not cause me any distractions and the lab is your's." he most likely should have worded it better, but it was clear that he didn't want the femme slinking off and leaving him on his own after this little spark to spark they had only moments ago.

Crystal sighed, though smiled, and glanced back to him. "If you say so." she chuckled, clearly enjoying this, however, she did wonder back over to him.
