This on follows "the Road Home" episode. Its a bit dark and dramatic and some coarse language is used, not a lot. Try it you'll like it.

An English teacher is brought in for the interim as Christy takes a break from emotional turmoil and returns to Ashville. How could someone new ever replace our favorite teacher? How could anyone fill the void, or the hearts, of the two men we like best?

Just a short story, a few moments in time. Christy shows Neil how to appreciate the glorious autumn season.

Suppose others found the Valley, either by design or serendipity. Suppose Christy is still undecided in her choice. Suppose there's other ways to look at the usual refrain. Some religion discussed; I hold no favorites, just how this story rolled out .

This is my first attempt at writing a fanfic so feedback is welcome. If any of you are on the Christyfest board then you'll know me as Jamie. This story is basically my own presonal attempt to resolve the ending to "The Road Home." Hope you enjoy it.

Neil/Christy Pairing. It follows the movies, but things are tweaked just a tiny bit.

I love the idea of Neil and Margaret having children and I have been thinking of a story along those lines for 13 or 14 years so please read and tell me what you think.
