AU Story. What if Mary Shannon didn't join the the US Marshal Service? What happens when US Marshal Marshall Mann transfers to New Jersey and is put in charge of tracking down Brandi's boyfriend, Chuck? Even in a different life, are Mary and Marshall destined to be friends or more?

After disappearing with no explanation, four years later Brandi, Jinx and Raphael track Mary down and demand answers.

Mary is left stunned when a woman turns up in Albuquerque claiming to be Marshall's ex-wife. As she struggles to come to terms with not knowing her best friend as well as she thought she did, Marshall struggles with feelings and bad memories that he thought he buried along time ago.

Marshall struggles for peace and calm again- his world has been turned upside down.First, his break-up and now the unexpected loss of his very own Mary. She's gone- But, she's not. Marshall remains haunted and badgered by his partner- it's almost like old times... But, really it's just the past. AU

Ever wonder how USA could have thrust Mary and Marshall together after that heart-wrenching balcony scene without breaking character? Here's an easy out that maybe wouldn't have left you heartbroken. Written as a screenplay, one-shot at this scene just to prove IT COULD HAVE BEEN DONE DAMMIT. I don't usually write in screenplays so my apologies if I screwed up the format.

When Mary suffers a miscarriage, she finds herself more vulnerable than anticipated, and leaning on a treasured friend that might turn into something more. Takes place mid-season-four. T for sparse language.

Marshall struggles to come to terms with his break up from Abigail and isn't ready to talk to Mary about the reason why they split. After going to a bar to forget for the night, he runs into a familiar face and strikes up an unlikely friendship. Set after the final but Stan didn't leave. Marshall and Mary are still partners.

Brandi has manged to get herself sucked into something when she knows she should have known better and with Mary and Marshall close on her tail, she struggles to handle the situation.
