A murder with an unusual MO leads the detectives into a dark world where Eames fears losing Goren forever.

Soon after Alex Eames takes over the role of lieutenant at the 27th Precinct, new evidence comes to light regarding a well-known 14-year-old vehicular manslaughter case. Meanwhile, a member of Eames' family is tragically murdered. Xover w/L&O mothership.

Goren and Eames are like a binary star system. The pull of the big one keeps the little one close, but the pull of the little one makes the big one wobble. Find answers to this and other questions, eventually. You still don't know what happened.

When someone from Det. Goren's haunting past shows up to work for the Major Case Squad, can he handle the changes that are being thrown at him, or will he lose all control in both his cases and his personal life?

Set after Goren and Eames leave the show. BA.

Ever wonder why Eames is stuck like glue to Goren? I do. This story is in a spiral, not a straight line.
