Strickland has a new case for the UCOS team. Only thing is, it is slightly out of their remit. Can a trip to Wales help? What will the team find Brian's past going to catch up with them this time? Steve and Jack have to learn to work together while Sandra is having a hard time adjusting to more revelations about her father.

Gerry decides it's time to do something about the letter he received from Jack.

Maybe someday you'll realise that you can inspire such love because of who and what you are and if you don't it won't matter because I can love you enough for both of us.

Strickland has rescued Sandra from a burning building- where will this act lead them? This is far from my best work but I'd like to share it with you anyway as New Tricks fic is so few and far between, especially Sandra/Strickland fic! It'd taken them so long to get tho this point and now she was the one ruining the moment. He'd gone to all the effort of making it a night for both of them to remember and then she did something she wasn't sure he'd forgive her for.
