The Eastern Front: a Rat Patrol Story. Capt. Dietrich does a tour on the Russian Front, and continues his journey toward the plot to kill Hitler. This story is more graphic, and grim. I have used real events and characters to tell this story.

This story could be considered a prelude of sorts to my story called; The Rescue. The basic notion is when Captain Dietrich got the idea to join the resistance to Hitler. There is real life characters involved in this story.

Things get complicated when Moffitt's cousin join the Allies to find an artifact

Troy and Hitch are in a POW camp and it's up to Moffitt and Tully to get them out. A little help from Dietrich is required. Orignally written for a 10 Word Challenge prompt, circa 2008. Sadly only 9 words remain because the 10th was a stretch.

The War has ended for Captain Dietrich and the Rat Patrol but they are called upon for one last mission that will take them through war torn Europe. Rated K for some salty language.

The Rat Patrol is assigned an expert to assist them on a dangerous mission to locate a sample of a deadly virus. While their path crosses that of Captain Dietrich they find that, for once, Dietrich is the least of all of their worries. NOW COMPLETE.

It is August 1948 and Dietrich has finally earned enough money to treat himself and his wife to a football match down in Bavaria where he is shocked to discover one of his former subordinates on the pitch and worries if the past is truly forgiven or not.

The burden of command earns it's own rewards, even if we don't realize it at the time. Post-series.

Despite Moffitt's understanding, Erich refuses to believe that his decision to turn against the Third Reich is going to be beneficial for the Allies and help free his country from the evil of tyranny. Italy, 1943
