Because there's absolutely nothing romantic at all about Knight-in-shining-Enterprise!Kirk braving all to rescue Damsel-in-distress!Spock. Pfft, yeah right! Lotsa slash here, but I didn't write it, Harve Bennett did.

Because I just had to take the only scene in Star Trek III that wasn't about Spock and, y'know, make it all about Spock. Could be seen as slash or just really, really, REALLY intense, LOVING friendship of WAY epic proportions. Whatever works.
