One of my greatest weakness is my lack of confidence.

In real life I tend to cover this up by boasting, like somehow that will force me to live up to my words.

But secretly I am always comparing myself, to my friends, to strangers- as if my position amongst them will somehow give me confidence, or a lack of it- And often it comes off as arrogance, which makes me hard to approach.

Similarly in Fanfiction, I cannot help but compare my writing to the many wonderful stories I've read.

Of course these stories give me hours of enjoyment, in my own world, well, their world- with a gripping plot and flawless narration.

But when the story ends and I hit Earth once more, I am completely and utterly unmotivated to continue my own stories. Because I feel there is no way I cannot compete with these great story tellers. I cannot return to the world of my story because their story has left too much of an impact in my mind that I am stuck in their world for the next week, or month.
