I'm a nineteen-year-old, slightly socially awkward student living near Munich in Germany. I learned English spending a year in California, near San Luis Obispo. California is one of the most beautiful places I have ever seen, and the area where I live, quite close to the Alps, is also very beautiful. Yet I can't seem to be content staying there for too long. I love traveling and am already planning to go to Australia and Peru during my gap year. I love languages. I speak German and English fluently, French rather poorly, and I know how to say some basic things in Spanish and Italian.

My dream is to be a writer and a journalist. I see myself traveling to places all over the world, writing about my experiences in books or for National Geographic or something. I know there is a long way to go, but hey, I can dream, right? I haven't written any fanfiction yet. I do have a story posted at fictionpress.com if you want to go check it out - same pen name there: http://www.fictionpress.com/~avae I am actually thinking about writing fanfiction as well, only until recently I pretty much only read Phantom and that's hard to write if you don't want to take the characters and place them in the 21st century. I'm not good at writing historical stuff - not yet, anyway.

However, recently I can't seem to get a certain blonde guy with a killer smile out of my head (yes, this is Patrick Jane I'm talking about) and it seems to me that Mentalist might be easier to write. Lots of fun and lots of psychoanalysis and drama. Exactly what I love to write.

To me, fanfiction is all about exploring possible romantic interests and getting to know the characters more deeply than is possible on TV. I realize that The Mentalist wouldn't be half as cool if Jane spent all his time getting over his guilt. Neither would it work for a crime drama if all the attention were focused on a possible relationship between Jane and Lisbon. But what we can't have on the show, we can still write, right? It's why I love fanfiction.

Couples I ship are:

- Phantom: Erik&Christine (there are also some E/OW fics I enjoyed reading)

- Lost: Skate, PB&J (though sadly the latter isn't an option any more)

- NCIS: Tony&Ziva (c'mon, ever since "Under Covers"...)

- Mentalist: Jisbon (I love love LOVE these two as a couple, but I really don't know if it would work on the show. We'll have to wait and see. It's hard to make it believable.)
