I've been writing fanfiction (not always on ff.net and obviosly not all Harry Potter) since 1997 and I've been reading fanfiction since 1996.

These days I only do Harry Potter fanfiction, since there is so much room to play in this fandom. I have a preference for stories with good battle scenes and really new and interesting ideas. I like graphic violence in fics but only when its tied to an actually interesting plot. I really don't like suicide fics - I can't see Harry doing that. I have only met two or three crossovers (and those aren't all even in the Harry Potter fandom) that are worth reading.

I have no favorite pairings, it doesn't really matter. I really hate pairings of Harry with any of the female characters so far in the books. None of them seem to match him well enough. I prefer stories with Harry being more powerful, smarter (lets face it - Rowling made him into an idiot) and much more intelligent and agressive.

Well the seventh book has come and gone. And I think it is time for me to finally admit the truth to myself and everyone reading my fics.

I’m not going to update any of my old fics ever again.

HOWEVER

I have started writing fanfiction again. (Yeah! HP 6 actually inspired me enough to make me start writing again.)

It’s called A Second Chance at Life and its sequel Changes in a Time of War and if you liked my previous stories I think you’ll like this one too. I’m going to warn you that the base-line plot may seem a tad bit over done in other fics, but what I really like about writing fanfiction is being original. Making most stuff up. Though given how much fanfiction there is whatever you think up has already been done by someone. However, I'm sure I can come up with enough unique stuff to keep you interested.

So – I bet no one’s ever thought of using the Room of Requirement in THAT way. If only Rowling had…I’m always a little disappointed by what she doesn’t think of…mind you I really liked HBP (Half-blood Prince).

Want to meet some really cool creatures? Got 'em.

New characters? That aren't human? Got those too.

New forms of magic? Yep, got those as well.

Lots of lovely violence? By the truck load.

Timetravel? Uh huh, you bet!
