LOTR: Aragorn before the Fellowship, growing up in Rivendell

Star Wars: Young Obi-Wan, Han Solo before Episode IV

Voyager: Tom and B'elanna romance, but not too steamy. Tom angst about his past and his relationship with his father.

Angel: Is it just me, or is there a serious lack of good angst writers for this fandom? If there were some good angst I haven't already read, that's what I would read.

Andromeda: I love the stories about how Harper met Beka and joined the crew of the Maru.

Magnificent Seven: Poor, misunderstood Ezra! Heart of gold, overworked and under-appreciated.

Bonanza: I like the "family" fics where the focus is on the relationships between the brothers and their pa. Particularly like the fics where Joe and Adam have to learn to appreciate each other's differences and stop the bickering.

The Big Valley: Poor, angst-ridden Heath! I love the fics about how Nick hated him at first and then grew to love his brother. I also love the ones where Nick and Heath are off on some adventure, run into trouble, and have to escape. Is it just me, or do the fanfic authors love to hurt my Heath?

Smallville: I like the ones where the Kent family bond is the focal point. Clark angst with Martha and Jonathan supplying help, advice, and unconditional love.
