I'm usually writing at the same time I'm watching TV and drinking, all of which shows, unfortunately. I'm often detoured by weird museums and historic houses, mini golf courses, Big Things, and -- of course, being Canadian -- the weather. I have certain grammar peeves (10 items or less? Fewer, people, fewer!), but I think they're coming out with medication for that.
I have always been blessed with interesting work, including but not limited to: comic book writer and artist, English language textbook illustrator, adoption reunion intermediary, exhibition text writer, and game designer. I have, for money, done the following things: moved an Egyptian mummy from one location to another in the back of a Volvo station wagon, told more than one person that they had a long-lost sibling, crossed a windy hospital rooftop with a nun, been trapped in museum storage in the dark for 30 minutes, given up my office so Stargate could film in it, been startled by a live orca in the middle of giving a presentation (I was giving the presentation, not the orca), and go-go danced in front of 700 people.
I am a vintage 1960s model (well, not that sort of model) who dotes on her addled husband and adorable children, and spends hours and hours dancing to my own happy tunes. I also maintain a journal over at lj under the name Big-pink (http://big-pink.livejournal.com/), though I confess to having a love-hate relationship with the damn thing.
New and improved! I now have a web site! You can download PDFs of my fics, find out where I'm at in the writing process, leave me messages, find out more about me and my work. Visit Big Pink !
Brand new!!! I have now published Bear Hunt 2, giving the super-secret locations of all sorts of Season Two scenes. The Bear Hunt comic books are cracktastic location maps that give you addresses for Supernatural locations in Vancouver, all the while entertaining you with Snuggle Bear and an unlikely storyline. If you're planning a trip to Vancouver, (or just want a good laugh) go check it out HERE.
