Author has written 4 stories for Yu Yu Hakusho, and Black Jewels Trilogy. Hey to ya'll. No I am not from the south. I just wanted to do that. Anyways, as you may know, my name is blackwolf17. I changed it dozens of times and I'm settling on this one. I like anime, manga, reading and writing(duh). I wrote tons of stories before posting them on FanFiction.net. I just haven't finished them. I'm sorry if your one of my avid readers and are just waiting to see a new chapter, but i really don't know when it will be up. Sometimes in the middle of writing one, I get an idea for another. Like I have four ideas for twilight stories waiting in the wings. Yeah, crazy huh. I started writing some, so I might post them soon. I'll try and get the other chapters out of my other stories, but it might take while. I'm running out of ways to get from point A to point B. Sometimes I can be really hard on the characters I like the most, so be prepared when reading. They'll be going through a lot of drama. I think that's about it. I really don't know what else to write. So if any of you have comment, questions or complaints about any of my stories or whatever, pm me. Sayonara!! My guide to better fanfiction: So I was looking around the site for stories and I noticed a few things that might help when some of you are writing. Not to be too critical or anything, I just want to help. OK, so here's a few pointers that always help me find the best fanfiction. 1. Elaborate a little. It's OK if you have one or two paragraphs just dicribing something. That's good, it helps others understand what going on around the character and paint a better picture. 2. Slow down. Stories should be written at a slow pace, so if you find yourself rushing through a scene because your just impatient, stop, take a deep breath and go back and fill it out a little bit with more detail. Also, don't rush the plot too much. Going fast makes the story seem not fully developed and a little empty. 3. Expand on the characters. You want the people reading your story to really fall in love with your characters. You want them to understand them and know what they're feeling. Take time to write there emotions, facial expressions, and thoughts down into the story. 4. Write the story as if it was reader's first time seeing/reading the series/book/movie. A story should be filled with detail and background. Make believe the reader has never heard of the thing your writing about and put in a lot of detail about the characters. Describe how they look, how they act, how they think, what their personality is. Describe the setting and what happening around them. 5. Make the characters seem real. You want the characters in your story to be as believable as possible in whatever setting you chose. Don't make them all powerful and unable to die or be hurt or have real problems. No one likes a Mary Jane. Give them weaknesses and real problems to contend with. 6. Expand your word choice. Using different words makes your story seem sophisticated and like you spent a lot of time on it. Don't keep using the same phrase over again, like he said, she said, they said. Use he responded, she replied, they announced, and so on. 7. Explore all scenarios. Take time to think the story through. Think about what that character would say, what they would do, how they would act in a certain situation. Slow down and make a scene believable. I believe that's all. This isn't meant to be insulting or overly critical, I just want to give those new writers and even some of the old ones a few pointers to go on so they can really develop their writing. | |||||||
