About my fics: I've stayed in HP fandom the longest and only just come to Beyblade, but it's the latter that inspired me to write some of my own stuff. While I enjoy reading all sorts of fics so long as they are well-written and hold my attention, I'm partial to Kai/Tyson pairing. They are so cute!

Solace is my very first fic and was inspired by a scene in Little Women, where Amy is mourning the death of Beth and waiting for Laurie to come and comfort her.

An End and a Beginning is more an exploration of Kai/Max friendship, though I'm not sure how deeply I've managed to 'explore' it! Both Kai and Max are my favourite characters and I like to think that they share an understanding , a relationship that is purely platonic. It was while I was reading an article on Japanese funeral rituals that the idea for the fic hit me.

Drawn is my very first attempt at romance and my favourite couple have a starring role in it. I had originally planned a Beybladers in Hogwarts kind of fic, and had even mapped out the initial chapters...Tyson getting the Letter(!), meeting on the train, the Sorting. And then I got stuck. Plot? Should it be "Run for your lives, Voldemort is after your bit-beasts", or "Help, Dumbledore, mad scientists are after the bit-beasts" ? Neither appealed, so I very reluctantly decided to abandon the whole idea. Drawn was a small part of it that I managed to salvage and embellish (coughkisscough) a bit.

Dragon Heart - I decided to take a break from all the angst and write a silly fic, something outrageous, like a parody. And the idea? Mythology, of course. Kings in ancient India had a rather nifty way of marrying off their daughters, sisters and assorted female relatives...by holding a swayamvar. Suitors from all over were invited to participate in some Triwizard-like task and the one who passed the test won the hand of the fair maiden. In the epic Ramayana, Prince Rama weds Sita after bending and stringing a magnificent bow, while in Mahabharata, Arjuna wins Panchali's hand by showing off his skill in archery. In order to make my fic suitably un-angsty, I had to give that King of Angst, Kai a major major makeover. In other words...OOC Kai. Kai is so un-Kai-like that I was half tempted to call him Mr.Smiley! But I've had so much fun writing him!

Prophecy - WIP

Runaway - As with Drawn, this fic was a small part of a larger fic. But while the parent fic (the very same one from which I rescued Drawn) was abandoned, I held on to this semi plot. In the original, Kai played the same role as Sirius Black (though somewhat understated), while Ray took on the role of James Potter. Somehow the idea morphed into its current avatar. Kai and Tyson are not the best of buddies here. In fact, this fic could have been a sequel to Drawn. But Drawn charted its own course and hence this is a standalone.

Heartbreak - Whenever I try to write a Max fic, he always ends up as the Source of Comfort! I wish I could write a chirpy, smiling, ever cheerful Max, because he truly is one of my most favourite characters. As for Kai/Tyson, I have no idea what brought that on - the slight non-con angle. (Non-con is one of my squicks.) This is set in Drawn world, so it probably counts as a sequel...probably.
