Author has written 4 stories for Stargate: Atlantis. So this is the bit where I introduce myself ... Okay, I'm 22, I've been living in Scotland the last four years and well I should probably start with an explanation with reguards to my pen name, so all you Atlantis buffs cast your minds back to Duet or go dig out your dvds!). Remember when Zelenka was trying to fix McKay and Cadman? He tried it out on those poor little lab mice first, zapping them with his Wraith Ray Of Death and ended up nuking them into next Sunday - anyway, while reading the Shippy Synopses by Pooh and Little Red at Abydos Gate (recommended if you're over 18!), they dub the failed experiment 'BBQMICE'. This just stuck with me and I thought it was quite funny - read it and you'll see why. So there you have it. Lets see now, other things to tell you...Well Atlantis has been the reigning champion of my 'Most obsessed over' poll, since it surpassed SG-1 last year (God, I miss Jack), which follows at a close second place. However, my first love was The X-Files (yum, David Duchovny!)and will always have a special place in my dvd collection and my heart! As for my experience in writing, it all started when I was just a child and I was taught how to write my name... ah, I'm only joking! I like having a creative outlet, be it drawing, writing, or nailing three pieces of wood together, slapping a bit of paint on it and calling it a television stand (hey, it hasn't collapsed yet!). Usually, if I do happen to put my writer's cap on, any by-product gets trashed before I can finish it. But, with my completely unchallenging line of work and way too much time on my hands, I happened upon Fanficnet and was inspired, so I decided to give it a go. I'm my most unforgiving critic, my spelling is atrocious and I spend half the time going over my work with a dictionary three inches thick, coz my crummy word pad doesn't have a spell check, and I'll still miss mistakes (my little sister is laughing at me now)! You can understand my frustration, so please be kind, I'm trying my best. If you find anything I write to be enjoyable and if you have any words of encouragement, reviews would be greatly appreciated and while I steadfastly refuse to beg (wink), they are great, aren't they! I should probably warn you now that I can sometimes have a bizarre sense of humour, which may present itself in my stories. I like to laugh, but don't get the chance to do so as often as I'd like, (actually I just did one of those online tests and according to that I suffer from sever depression - yeah who'd thunk!)so at some point, if you come across a real noggin scratcher, just ignore me, I'll be alright again in the next chapter. At this time, I've managed to complete just two stories, but seeing I've never finished anything in my life, that is pretty amazing. Even more so that I've started writing a third. Writing this profile is starting tofeel quite therapeutic, which in turn is a tad scary, so I'm gonna wrap things up here before my questionable santiy falls into any more doubt. Just for the record: Sparky good, Sheyla bad, no not bad, make that wrong. Enough said. I don't think I need to go into that any further. This is my profile and I'll support any team I want! That's all folks! I'll say no more incase I start putting you off. Thanks for looking me up. August 4th 06 | |||||||
