DISMANTLE.REPAIR: A young boy is discovered murdered and dismembered in an abandoned building, prompting Mac to put the entire team on the case. And each member of the team find personal meaning in the death of this small boy. As they race to put together the clues, the careful relationships that have been constructed in the lab are put to the test: some are threatened, and others blossom. And Jimmy Hamilton's murder quickly begins to become personal for everyone involved. For Mac, it is about avenging an innocent. For Stella, it's a fight for every little lost boy. Danny cannot help but see Ruben in this boy, and Lindsay must finally confront him about Rikki, his grief, and where they are left in its wake. Hawkes begins to have horrible nightmares about the young patient he lost under the knife, while Flack is determined to make the City a safe place for young boys to grow up in, like he did. But the case is most haunting of all for Adam Ross, who's abusive past will finally come to light.

Worse, his growing attraction to a fellow lab tech comes under threat, Danny and Lindsay are experiencing growing pains as the stresses of working together put pressure on the budding relationship, and Flack's unspoken attraction for one of the team members is nearly the undoing of his long-term understanding with Mac. A Day Late: New York City Crime Lab Technician Adam Ross is on a date with Aspen Murray, the new tech in town, when a shooting rips through the bar they’re at, killing two cops and putting the whole city on high alert. As Mac Taylor and his team of CSIs race to discover the shooter's identity, tensions mount between the close-knit group. Stella Bonasera must face the fact that she hasn't truly dealt with all the emotions around the fatal shooting of her boyfriend, Frankie, while also trying to come to terms with Mac's relationship with new ME, Dr. Peyton Driscoll. Meanwhile, Adam and Danny Messer find themselves at odds ( again? ) as the tech struggles to win Aspen's heart despite the detective's charms. And, though she hates to admit it, Lindsay Monroe is then forced to admit that she doesn't want Danny in someone else's arms, causing her to re-evaluate her decision to keep him at arm's length despite his attempts to woo her first. And Don Flack has come to a crossroads in his life following the explosion that nearly killed him. He wants to live it to the fullest, but that means he's got to start being more honest with himself -- particularly about his growing feelings for Stella.
