"The characteristics of our romantic are to understand everything, to see everything and to see it often incomparably more clearly than our most realistic minds see it; to refuse to accept anyone or anything, but at the same time not to despise anything; to give way, to yield, from policy; never to lose sight of a useful practical object (such as rent-free quarters at the government expense, pensions, decorations), to keep their eye on the object through all the enthusiasms and volumes of lyrical poems, and at the same time to preserve "the good and the beautiful"...our 'romantic' is a man of great breadth and the greatest rogue of all rogues, I assure you."

That's probably the most simple way I can explain to you why I am here. I've heard about Fanfiction.net and, out of curiosity, decided to explore.
Fanfiction is a really, really difficult thing to write well. Like all of you, I have seen the aftermath of when a half-crazed fan goes loco and decides to start writing, and I can easily say that it is not pretty. If anything, it is frightening and scary and kinda makes you want to curl up in a corner and die.
...or at least that's what I want to do, anyway.
I am a fan of many things, and once upon a time I had two very long, painful lists posted up with all the things in my life I adored. I reasoned quickly, however, that people have short attention spans and it's best to get this type of thing out of the way in a quick and simplistic way that could make everyone happy. I appreciate good storytelling, and therefore might dabble in all sorts of fandoms if inspiration decides to strike me.
Who knows? I bounce around the fanfiction globe, and for all you know I could appear anywhere, at any time, UNANNOUNCED:D
Anyhoo: I love writing, I love reading, I love critiques and hell, if you think my stories suck, tell me. Thanks for taking the time to cruise through the profile. I hope that you have a nice day and enjoy looking through the gallery.
Please stumble down LaFlamingo Lane again.
Cheers,
Megan
