Greetings all! I'm Agent Malkere (obviously), the Canadian writer, who was born in Australia, but is currently living in the US! (Don't ask, it's very complicated) And I love Star Wars! YAY! I also love Bones, House MD, and British murder mysteries in general (Midsomer Murders and Sherlock Holmes especialy) and Pride and Prejudice. Ooo! And there's now another one to add to my obsession list: Yu-Gi-Oh and Yu-GiOh GX! It is my heart felt desire to someday have a British acsent, but, unfortunately, I am stuck with a weird Canadian/ New EnglandishAmerican acsent. -sigh- And occationaly, when my godparents visit, really weird hints of Australian!
About me... I love to write, act, and draw and am currently writing a novel and am on typed page 70. I also horse back ride and play cello. My horse is named Mara (all right SW fans, take a wild guess where I got that name from) and I call my cello Bartimaeus (yes, after the djinni and no, just because my cello has a name does not mean I'm stark raving mad - most of the time :P). I read fantasy and science fiction mainly but Shakespeare is also high on my list (Mid Summer Night's Dream and Julius Caesar). For any of you who have not read The Bartimaeus Trilogy by Jonathan Stroud, I HIGHLY recommend it! I have also been to four of the seven continents. Yes, I've been on far too many air planes!
Oh, and if anyone gets to wondering, at any time,why I haven't updated any of my stories in a while, it will be for one of these reasons:
A) I have writer's block
B) I have a ton of homework, and/ or a paper due soon
C) I have a ton of homework and I have writer's block (which is the most likely senario)
And now I have another reason to add to the list:
D) My computer is on the war path again and/ or Word and spell check have gone kuput (computers and I, in general, don't get along)
-sigh- Yet another reason:
E) I have to study for Final Exams (bleck!)
Currently I'm pleading C as my excuse! Just a note - none of my multi-chapter stories ever "die" as I think the term is. Yes, sometimes I may not upadate something for months at a time, but I'll always get back to it eventually because in my mind I've made a comitment to all my readers to see my stories through to the end - no matter how long it takes. I write what I am feeling inspired at the moment. If I force myself to update things, then the chapters end up short and unsatisfactory with nasty cliffhangers at the end of them - which bugs the heck out of me because when I end something with a cliffhanger it means I just got writer's block and have NO CLUE what is going to happen next! Okay, I'm done ranting now! To sum all that up: I will get back to writing my Star Wars, Bones, and Pride & Prejudice fics - just give me some time.
