Hello and welcome to the profile of the infamous kitty demon, (aka starwberry_nerd on portkey just so everyone knows and yes, I know about the mispelling) my choice of pen name comes from a point in my life where I was not only an idiot but I also was not allergic to cats and was a fan of inuyasha- I'm still a fan of inuyasha but now I'm allergic to cats. Hopefully I'm no longer an idiot. The portkey pen name is because I didn't check to see if my fanfiction pen name was avaliable and I saw a box of strawberry flavoured nerds next to my computer- I like strawberries and I'm a bit of a nerd so I went with it and then I misspelled it. The misspelling was not deliberate.

I don't have an accent and can waltz and swing dance pretty well when the occasion calls for it, though sadly there has been no such occasiona for quite some time. I love to read all sorts of books, usually fantasy, lots of mysteries and the occasional biography or general nonfiction of almost any topic. Terry Pratchett, Diana Wynne Jones and Patricia C. Wrede are my literary idols and I would love to be even a fraction as capable in my writing as they are. I like anime, My Neighbor Totoro was the first then Sailor Moon and it went on from there. I was born in the year of the snake and during the traditional time of Cancer in the Greek zodiac. I've got a bunch of younger siblings, no older sibs and more cousins than I know what to do with. I started reading fanfiction in middle school, much to my mother's dismay, and started writing it in high school but I didn't post until my senior year. I believe in love but I don't believe in soul mates, I don't drink, and I don't smoke or use any sort of drug, unless you count caffiene and I'm not about to give up my chocolate ice cream or my Dr. Pepper. I dislike onions but love garlic and am a reasonably good cook. I'm impatient and often restless. Science makes me sleepy even if it is pretty cool, I love history, English is fun, I will mentally correct peoples' grammar as they speak or as I read whatever they've written, and anthropology fascinates me. I'm a blue eyed brunette who has been described as dainty, not sure if I should like that description or not.

If there's a type of story you'd like to see me write then all you have to do is ask and I'd probably be willing to take up the challenge, though be warned that I won't write yaoi or yuri and I don't write smut.

I'm annoyed by people who attempt to use 'thy' 'thee' and 'thou' in their stories and get it wrong and I hate it when people use 'omg' 'lol' or any other text speak in their stories or their summaries because for goodness sakes, speaking and writing are two different things! 'U' cannot replace 'you' nor can 'no' replace 'know', 2 cannot replace to or too and two (see, the word, not the frikkin' number!) There are rules for this sort of thing and they are not the sort of rules to break just so you can be different, they are the sort of rules created so people can actually read the story and believe the writer has some form of maturity/class/some other complimentary word and to those who break these rules by accident then I can only say, read a gosh darn book and stop texting all the time! Those who break these sorts of rules on purpose, you are dead to me. The phrase "little did he/she know" drives me INSANE, not really sure why but it absolutely drives me up the wall. And if you suck at summaries, DO NOT SAY SO IN THE SUMMARY! People can tell if a story or the summary is crap or not without it being announced to the world. In an emergency find a friend or even another ffn writer who seems to be good at writing summaries and ask them to do it for you. And learn how to spell the characters' names! Also I hate mature situations or even romantic situations between characters who aren't even of the age of consent, twelve year olds are not running around making out with each other! If they are, don't tell me, just let me believe in the innocence of children and that it lasts longer than it apparently does. Yes I am a bit of a prude, sorry but it's just how I am. I can stand characters acting ooc, but only to a certain degree. For example, Ron abandoning Harry is believable, Hermione knowingly and willingly abandoning or betraying Harry is not even within the realms of possibility. I have other examples of impossible oocness but I can't think of them at the moment. If in your summary your talking about the main female character being abandoned by the main male character and you equate them to anything twilight related when it is not a twilight story I will not acknowledge you. If you've abandoned your story then please, please, please, don't just put ABANDONED up to replace your summary, just pull down the story and if you ever come back to it then just repost it. I'm sorry to rant on like that but I felt that this had to be said. I have, just barely, restrained myself far too many times from sending rather vicious reviews to people who insist on continuing with the previously mentioned things. Be warned that my patience will not last forever.

Random thing that I'll mention just because, to all guys out there, girls will appreciate it if you tell them they look pretty, especially if it's a first date, especially if you got there twenty minutes late and she was actually nice enough to wait for you, especially if she obviously took some effort to look nice and you just showed up looking like you just got out of class/work/whatever, especially if this was the first date and you want to even dream of going on a second it wouldn't kill you to take the effort of saying something to the effect of "you look pretty"

Currently I've got technically three living ocs, possibly four or five. The ocs act as matckmakers, villians or they just give out information that is necessary to move the story on that I can't make anyone else give because it would be ooc.

If any of these ocs seem in danger of becoming a mary/gary sue please please please tell me! Unless its Destiny, that'll be on purpose

I've got several challenges, all centering around the Harry Potter fandom but they could probably be altered to suit other things, anyone who wants to check them out should go look at my forum

I HATE MY COMPUTER!! My stupid hard drive actually up and died on me and now if I can't manage to extract the information from it into a replacement, because I'm an idiot who doesn't back up anything really ever, I'm going to have to recreate EVERYTHING! That's five years worth of research, essays, notes, not to mention all the fanfiction junk I had that's now gone. Wish me luck, otherwise the last gap between updates is going to seem like nothing
