Things I consider when browsing through stories to read:

I don't really fancy myself any particularly picky reader. But there are some rules i like to follow generally when choosing what fic to click on.

ONE: Length. I rarely venture in to less than a thousand word fics. There have been some pleasant surprises when i have, but generally, they're nonsense or too short for me to properly enjoy. And inversely, if a fic exceeds 5000 words, i have to find myself in a really bored mood to embark on the journey of reading it. The lengthier a fic is though, almost always guarantees the best qualities. This one is probably THEE most predominating factor i take into account.

TWO: Rating. I really dont do anything less than teen. And lately i find it becoming i dont read anything less than Mature.

THREE: Pairing. I think this is pretty obvious- if i don't like the pairing, i won't read it. I'm sure we all can say this.

FOUR: Reviews in respect to publication date. Out of everything i use to judge whether or not i'll read a fic, this one is probably the one i'm most lax about. Number of reviews arent any real indication of a story's quality, but they can help me get somewhat of a scope.

FIVE: Status. I absolutely WILL not read a fic that isnt labeled complete. I'm done with that. im too impatient of a reader.

SIX: Genre. I generally try to avoid angst/tragedies/dramas/horror. If im getting good story vibes off of it though, i just gotta read.

All of these things are just generalities. There are exceptions to all of them. I'm a pretty flexible and open minded reader. I don't bash it til I've had it.

Once i do open a fic, i always finish it to the end. Once i finish a fic, i never leave without reviewing. I consider it just plain rude. Even if i've got no praise for the author, i still like to try and help them advance their work. And I'll never have the audacity to favorite a story without reviewing.

A random fact about me...I am double jointed in just about every area of my arms/hands.

I am fluent in English, Spanish, and (ASL) American Sign Language but all my writing skills lie within the English language's domain, so none of my fics will come out in Spanish. And... I just don't see how ASL would work on this website. Lol. I live in California in the U.S. of A. Damned Skippy.

I have and unhealthy addiction to swearing, which magically disappears when authority figures walk into the room. You'll notice that i have excluded my age. I would like for my writing to be judged objectively and not on the "Oh that was good for a _ year old" scale, which in itself would indicate that i might be relatively young...or does it? -cue 007 music-
