Author has written 36 stories for Smallville. I'm halfway through my second year of law school to pursue a degree in International Law and, as I've always written short things for my own amusement to reduce stress, I've decided to try writing something that I might allow other people to read. It's very nerve-wracking. So far, it my stress doesn't seem to be much reduced, since I spend most of my day at work writing and rewriting lines in my head. But the feedback I've gotten so far has been very encouraging! I'm working on Smallville fan fiction pretty much exclusively, which is funny, as I only started watching the show a couple years ago. My roommate is evil, with her "We'll just watch a few episodes to kill time!" ways. Now, I can't get over Lois. Not that I'd turn Clark down, either, but only after I'd given him a good smack-down for having pined for Lana for so long. (Why, oh why, oh why, I ask myself.) But, if you want to know why that annoys me, read my spoof "Just Another Day in Smallville". Who knows? Maybe I'll branch out in fan fiction someday. I also am a huge fan of House, but I'm not quite brave enough...or insane enough...to attempt his character. So, for now, I'll stick to Smallville and continue to growl at any episodes that don't have enough Lois air-time. And there can never be enough Lois air-time. EDIT: It has been pointed out to me that I should mention that a good deal of inspiration for certain elements of my stories comes from Lois and Clark: The New Adventures of Superman. Technically, you'll probably find I take a few things from various Superman-related media. However, LnC is the most obvious. In my mind, Dean Cain and Teri Hatcher played the "adult" versions of the characters Tom Welling and Erica Durance play on Smallville. Thus, in any future fic of mine, you will find some elements of these LnC characters (with certain adaptations due to changes in the backstory as provided by Smallville). In fact, if you don't, I haven't been doing my job as a writer. Similarly, Perry in any future fic story I have should - and hopefully will - be reminiscent of Perry in LnC. Lane Smith played my absolute favorite Perry ever, for one thing. Also, there has only been one brief appearance of Perry on Smallville and, though I do take some things from the Superman movies, I never felt I really got to know Perry's character particularly well in the films. Thus, Lane Smith it is. Certain other things will pop up in my stories from time to time. The phrase "galactically stupid" has shown up more than once in one of my fics. I have intentionally done homages to scenes either from the movies or LnC in the past. At the time that I'm writing this note, one of my stories - The Murder of Clark Kent - is admittedly inspired by "This Old Gang of Mine" from LnC (though the plot as it stands now seems to have nothing to do with that episode, as the story went on a path I had not originally intended. However, credit is given as it is due in the author's note to the original source that inspired the story.) To date, any other plot similarities between my fics and any comic story arc, movie, or episode of LnC is purely coincidental. I occasionally will borrow elements from another Superman story - particularly LnC for the reasons explained above (and so if you DON'T feel as though there is any TH or DC in my characters in future fic stories, I've accidentally fallen OOC in my mind and am a bad, bad writer!) - but any story plot I write that has been inspired by a pre-existing story will be noted as such by me.
