HI! My name is Annie, I'm fifteen years old, and I'm completely psyched because I just figured out how to put up a biography! I know, I know special! Anyway I live in the United states, new york state to be a bit more spacific. I love to write, and sing, listen to music, and act, hang out with my friends, and help people. I write in a lot of different genres, including but not limited to poetry, short stories, and song lyrics. Writing is an absolute necesity for me! It's an outlet, for sadness, heartbreak, anger, and so many more feelings and emotions. I read a poem at a poetry reading we have in our school library called Poetry slam, and people were crying! I mean actually crying!!!! I think they related to the words, and if they help someone else, then I can find no better way to express myself. It makes putting my heart, and emotions out there for everyone to see worth while. Writing is also a way of overcoming advercity, and let me tell you, I've delt with a lot of it over the years. I suppose one of the reasons is that I'm a teenager, and am going through so many things, as a junior in highschool. Another is because I'm blind. I don't let that bother me much, though I usually wait awhile before telling people online. Because the internet is the one place I can write, and chat, and not be prejudged. I love to see how I'm perceived you know? Not that blindness is the sole characteristic upon wich I'm judged, but it's nice that for a short while, it's not a factor.
