Author has written 1 story for X-Men: The Movie. Doubt thou the stars are fire, -William Shakespeare Hello all, I'm Covered Clouds. They say people write about what they know (I'm not convinced), and what they know is influenced by who they are. Therefore: I'm 19 and a Business major, I have an unfounded love of literature and a specific soft spot for the Shakespearean sonnets, as well as an unhealthy habit of injuring myself playing soccer or figure skating. I'm a the youngest of 5 (plus two brothers-in-law), a choral vocalist, and a closet romantic. I'm right smack dab in the middle of being part Olympian and part Cascadian, so take your pick. My Christian faith, my political conservatism, my family, my friends, and my teammates are my priorities. Order them as you will. I speak how people think, but rarely think how people speak. I plan to spend the next four years of my life with the potatoes and not much else. Not that that tells you much about who I am, but feel free to run with it anyways. I read and write a large amount of fanfiction when time allows, and because of the sheer volume do I have so many fics favorited. Those particular pieces are highlighted as such because of the literary skill of the author, the exceptional plot of the story, the particular character development that lacks elsewhere, or the simple and extraordinary humor that is found. The best combine most or all of the attributes; these are truly talented authors. I'm a registered beta, to be found in the Beta Reader index or by PM. However, I neither read, write, or beta slash, MSTing, SIs, or fics in which the author cannot spell, use proper grammar, or format properly. So please do not ask me to. I'm also not exceptionally fond of 300-word oneshots, as I do not count them as literary works fit for fanfiction (with few exceptions). It should be known that my first fic, Running Blind, has been removed indefinitely. It was written over 5 years ago and until such time as I take the time to seriously revise and edit it, it won't be back up. Previously a multichap, Doubt that the Sun Doth Shine has been changed to a oneshot, as it is perfectly capable of standing on it's own. This is due to a lack of inspiration, the flippant nature of my own fanfiction interests, and the time-suck that is attending a university. I apologize profusely to those of you who read them. If any of you must absolutely know what happens and you're losing sleep over it (which is admittedly a little bit worrisome), I have detailed plot outlines, so I can put your curiosity to rest if need be. If you wish, send me a PM with questions. I have twelve-plus unpublished fanfics, mostly oneshots, of various canons. If you are interested in reading any (keep in mind they are unbeta-ed and the product of, again, flippant intersts), feel free to send me a PM. They're 24, X-Men, Tomb Raider, Underworld, Harry Potter, Buffy, and Narnia centric. To my lovely, amazing, fantastic beta Kavi Leighanna, a million thanks for your wonderful work that extends far beyond my fanfics. Thanks all, -CC "When people are free to do as they please, they usually imitate each other."- Eric Hoffer | |||||||||
