Hello, Akito Souma here. :)

As you might have guessed by my authorname, I really love Akito Souma from Fruits Basket. Most of my fanfiction that is posted on this site features him as the main character (yes, I said "him" not her. Don't argue.). Other characters I really like from that series are Yuki, Ayame, and Shigure. I like all of them, though. Except Rin, maybe, and I've only read about her in the manga since she was never included in the anime series. I don't like the manga. This is because Natsuki Takaya writes the personalities of her characters a lot differently than they are depicted in the anime. Techically, if one representation of them were to be considered accurate it would have to be the manga's, since the manga came before the anime. I don't believe in following the crowd, though. I'll like the anime better than the manga if I want to.

I have my reasons for feeling that way.

Just like I have my reasons for liking Akito when, according to the rest of the world, he's a no-good, evil, heartless son-of-an-unpleasant-woman. Go ahead and ask me why I love him enough to die for him. I dare you.

Other fandoms I'm pathetically stuck on are Harry Potter (Draco rules!), Star Wars (but only when someone manages to write a good Vader fic, since he is the only character worth reading about, in my humble opinion), Final Fantasy VII Advent Children (go Kadaj!), and sometimes Dragonball Z. Sadly, I've found that most people who write fics about that particular anime are--don't take my word for it, go see and judge for yourself--not the most skilled of writers. My darling Vegeta's character is butchered frequently in nearly every DBZ fic I've stumbled across. I'm also a big fan of Streetfighter II but I haven't managed to find a good fic in that genre yet. Guess it's up to me to write it. (:

There are lots of other fandoms I'm interested in but those are the only ones that come to mind.

Other stuff about me...

Black and red are my favorite colors. I love cats. And like all other animals. I'm not too fond of bugs, though. Ew. Creepy crawly.

I am a Christian and I love God and Jesus Christ, but I don't believe that puts me in a box and prevents me from being a creative, open-minded individual. I have no problem with discussing the reasons for my faith. I'd be glad to, actually, since what I want to do when I grow up (ha ha, I'm twenty-two years old) is be a missionary. I have no problem with people who are different from me. I love learning about others and their beliefs.

Besides being a missionary, I also want to be a novelist. I love writing, it is my passion in life. My goal as a writer is to change people's lives; change the way they view the world and the other people in it, and help them to grow into better, happier individuals. I like characters who are typically considered cold and even evil by other people. I believe that there is more than one side to every story, that everybody has a reason for becoming what they are, and that anyone can change their ways if someone is willing to give them the chance.

I'm a Psychology major in college with an English minor. I love computers and music (especially rock and techno) and obsessing over my favorite characters. Did I mention that I love writing...
