Greetings
At
university I studied Theoretical Astrophysics and English. (I pride
myself in my mastery of the English language, my mother taught English
for over 30 years, so it was an easy course for me to take.)
I
enjoy writing, and I'm very pleased with the appraisals by the
reviewers of my stories so far. I work very hard to put as much
feeling into my stories as I can. I'm currently writing Chapter 23
in a large, multi-chapter Harry Potter story, but I won't start posting
them until I get maybe 15 or 20 chapters completed. I take my
time writing and I don't want people waiting for long periods of time
between chapters. I'm also writing an original, novel-length book
which will not appear on any public site, I hope to get it published
someday, but I fear that it is much easier said than done, so I don't
have my hopes up very high.
If you like my writing style and would like me to beta read for you, let me know. I believe that I know enough about grammar, spelling, and punctuation to be an effective beta. I like to think I have a decent imagination, too.
I basically limit my fan fiction writing to Harry Potter, it's a
wonderful story (except for the abomination that was the majority of
the 6th book,) that holds great potential. The characters are
well defined and the general plot leaves plenty of room for the
imagination to run free.
I enjoy writing morbid, angsty stories, but I can still surprise people with fluffy or humorous works. I am a devout Harry/Hermione shipper, but I also find the idea of Harry/Tonks intriguing. I don't mind seeing the jealous, superficial, red-headed Ron in a happy relationship, as long as it's not with Hermione. I don't care at all for the RW/HG ship, the HP/GW ship or any DM ship whatsoever, except for maybe Draco having a good snog with a dementor. Yes, us HP/HG shippers are called 'delusional,' but I write fan fiction, and the main word to remember is 'fiction.' I write to make myself happy, and I hope to make others happy by reading what I create.
And remember, her name isn't Herms, Hermy, 'Mione, Mia or Nee, her name is Hermione... Deal with it.
