My name is Kay (it's a nickname)

Well up until recently, I pretty much had my personality typed in a few nutshell paragraphs. Obviously I decided to take them down. Why? Easy, you want to know me, let's talk. I prefer things that way. More natural. I did throw you a bone though (look at the above bold typing). I've decided to use my profile for other, more important things, like my story/fandoms or the likes. Translation = I've decided to use it for writing related things. I might have a few "me" things thrown in here, but hopefully I won't stray and keep it within bounds of writing. :D

A bit about my writing style. I'm currently at a lost and trying to find my style. I've experienced a bit with writing styles as you can see. I've gone from horrendous, to okay, to great (in my eyes at the moment). I'm obsessed with the chapter replace button, and I'm constantly revising stories which I think are inadequate. Lately though, I've become more steady, rarely replacing. For now, my main thing is details. The way I portray said details vary on the story or mood of the story. And I think I like it that way. As long as the emotions and details are there, I guess it really doesn't matter how I write the story (3rd, 1st) as long as it is well written.

Fandoms:

Percy Jackson : I've recently "abandoned" the PJO fandom on this site. I placed "abandon" in quotations because until I finish my stories, I can technically be said to be on it. I can be seen as more active on the LJ community, Cabinthree, but to be honest, PJO has lost its influence on me. But now that I think about it, PJO never really did have an influence on me. The fandom here itself makes me want to pull my hair out. Not only because of the n00bs, trolls, and horribly written stories, but also because of the assholes who patrol it. They cramp my style, for lack of a better phrase, so that's another coughmaincough reason I'm leaving. I am currently working on three stories one of which won't be finished for quite some while. You may notice that for most part I took all PJO stories on my alert off.

Alex Rider : Lately, I've been hanging around the AR fandom, and I've fallen in love with it quite frankly. I guess you can say that this is my main priority right now. I'm yet to find an AR community of LJ that I really like, but if you have one you think is good, feel free to PM me about it :)

Other fandoms : Hm, if I do, it would most likely be HP. For now, I don't really have any others. But with me, you can never be sure. I read a lot, think a lot, so it wouldn't surprise me if I popped a few stories in random categories.

Preferences:

I wouldn't really say I have any preferences when reading. I'm not a particularity picky person, reading anything as long as it is well, or at least, decently written. I am however a Plot Nazi. Keep this in mind if you try to copy someone else's story idea. I will recognize it in an instance, don't believe me, try me. I'm also fairly critical when it some to certain plots, meaning, I'm not a big fan of overused plots. I can't read them. But I think I will be able to if they are good, seeing that the overused plots are no longer going to be involving PJO. I think, that fandom made me hate a lot of things...

If you want me to read a story of yours, just PM me. I don't mind. Also, it doesn't matter the fandom, I'll read it anyway. :) I might ask a few questions, but I'll read it and give a decent review. On the matter of reviewing, I always review. I'm pretty obsessed about reviews, but have no fear, I'm not a review whore. I will never withhold a chapter for reviews. But I don't mind review whores though, understand where they are coming from. I'm just bit touchy when it come to reviews, especially when I put a particular amount of energy writing something and it gets no reviews. Or when people add it to their favorites or alerts but say nothing. The fastest way to ensure that I will review your story -- even if just once -- is if you review mine. No this is not to make you review, this is just my way of saying 'thank you' for reviewing.

CC's : Lately I've been CC'ing quite much. The idea of helping makes me feel good and useful. /gags/ I'm pretty big on details. So that's one of the main things I would probably CC on.
Flames : Now that I am no longer an active member on PJO, there really is no need for flaming, now is there?

My Stories:

Love Is Illness : I've lost interest in it, but I will finish it though. It's not my best written and to be honest, I don't really push it that much. But it is fairly easy to write, so hopefully I will be finishing it before October.

Of Gods and Monsters : My favorite story by far. This is practice for the story that I plan on writing when I get older. This is sometimes I bit hard to write, and given my time limits, I don't always get to update every week. But I do try. But occasionally, I get side tracked by other ideas. Don't worry, the latest this story will be updated is two weeks. This is by far the longest I have never updated for this story. ~_~ The update is underway though.

Polycephaly : My second favorite story, and the hardest for me. This is also the longest (chapter length wise) so it does take the longest to update. Also, I put a lot of pressure on this story to make it come out good, seeing that writing it is not as easy for me like OG&M. Being a first timer to action fics, writing fight scenes slows me down, but I'm working on them :D

Love, Lost : This will probably take the longest, despite being the shortest (lengthwise) because I really put a lot of thought into this one. I take back what I said about Polycephaly -- this is the hardest thing for me to write. It is centered on emotions, so I need more brainpower so that it will come out to my expectations.

My OC's for "Of Gods and Monsters" :

Just clearing this up for anyone who has any qualms about them mainly ('Thorne, Casey, or Sol) or if the thought of them being a bit MarySueish ever crossed your mind. Even though I don't really see how anyone could ever think they were Sues...
: They do have faults and imperfections -- you may not know them yet, but I can assure you, they are far from perfect, you might sometimes think they are a bit fucked up or cracked. The reason I didn't really expose them much, is because this is going to be a long story, and I want to make it as realistic as possible. When you first meet someone, you don't immediately know everything -- faults, strengths -- about them. So the same thing applies with my OC's. Gradually... gradually you will find out.
: Their appearances are relevant to the story -- for those wondering about their unusual eye colors. Also, bear in mind for those who have forgotten, they are not mortal or demigods for that matter. So standard mortal/demigods rules do not apply.
: Concerning wealth and power -- please remember that the entire school is made up of the elite from all magical backgrounds, so I think that it pretty self explanatory concerning that and appearances. In real life, no matter how not pretty you are, you make yourself look decent when in these settings.

My friends are: Sokai, RianoKitsune, -Noctilucous-, bombplaya3 and Little Starlight Fireflies. Yeah, due to my hiatus and stuff I'm starting this all over again...
