My pen name is Ash Cole. I have been writing since I was seventeen when I enrolled in a creative writing course in High School. After auditioning at Texas Wesleyan University I decided to Major in Theatre Arts. I recieved my degree in the year of 2000 at University of North Texas. In 2001-02, I lived on East 21st street Manhattan, New York. Yes, I experienced September Eleventh. And yes it changed my life. What was I doing in New York? I was studying at The New School University when they had The Actors Studio Drama School and Inside the Actors Studio. I got to sit in and listen to the following actors interview with Dean Lipton: Bruce Willis, Sissy Spacek, Debrah Winger, Will Smith, Samuel L Jackson, Ian McCillan, Ben Kingsley, Johnny Depp, Ethan Hawk, Kevin Costner and more. It was the best year ever. My favorite style of writingis contemporary like Jack Kerouack, Allen Gingsberg, Kurt Vonnegut. I'm a big fan ofHemmingway, Kafka and Berltolt Brecht.I lovecreative dramatics and all forms of storytelling. You will learn that much of my writing consist of screenplays, plays, and short stories. So far, I have completed two novels which are entitled, The Untitled (the untitles) (C) 2003, The Theif's Story (2004). I am currently thinking about a new novel. I have written over a hundred short stories, plays and screenplays combined. Maybe more. Most of my stuff is stored in my closet and files. I have much saved. Also, I write poetry. I am currently looking for a producer for a screenplay I wrote named, "22, Purple, Garlane." Ask me about it, and I'll mail you a copy. I haven't found a publisher yet, but I will welcome any interests. I am 32 years old and was born on July 29th, 1973. That makes me a Leo, which explains my headstrongness, Narcisim and loving heart.
