Welcome to my boring and rambling bio page. I'm Kaylen, or kayp, I'm 18 and I just graduated high school. If you want to skip my life story (practically, it's that long) then don't read this paragraph. I love to read and have an extensive vocabulary, but I usually hate writing (although my English ACT score would allow me to take Honors English Comp if I wouldn't be guaranteed to fail it). The odd thing is, is that when I can force myself to write, it's really good, which may be why they thought I was just lazy for so many years when it came to writing in school. It wasn't until two years ago that they started to do tests for disabilities, and it took another half a year after that to get a diagnoses. After 17 years of impulsive and distracted behavior I found out that I wasn't some odd, unnatural person, but that I had ADHD (non-hyperactive, I just get distracted, have trouble concentrating, and have a low impulse control, especially when it comes to thinking before I speak. I also can be over informative, this paragraph is an example), a disorder of written expression (the most vague learning disability ever. Basically my IQ and overall intelligence show that I should have no problems writing, but I have a very difficult time expressing myself in words unless it's my thoughts, like these are), and mild (in my opinion, I don't like to think about it) Asperger's Syndrome (To a degree where it wasn't diagnosed until I started seeing a therapist for ADHD, so I don't think I have too serious a case). I have a 130-something IQ (I'm not sure on the exact number, I never cared) and got a 28 on the ACT's (should have retaken it) yet I had a 2.2 grade point average when I graduated high school (that was raised from the 1.9 it was when they started the testing at the end of 10th grade). So I'm glad that there was some explanation. Now I just have to try not to flunk out of college.

Now, onto the good stuff...

I'm addicted to the fan fiction of my favorite stories, be it books, movies, or tv shows. Right now I'm reading Twilight (and sequels), Tamora Pierce, Young Wizards, Harry Potter (usually canon relationships), Gilmore Girls (ships listed), and some Meg Cabot fanfiction. Right now it's summer and my new laptop does nothing for my quest to read less fanfic and search for a job, although the computer hasn't yet helped in my quest to make myself write my own fanfic. Needless to say, my parents aren't thrilled about the job situation and my zombie-computer-girl habit.

Other books I like:

Sarah Dessen -Truth About Forever, This Lullaby, Just Listen, and Keeping the Moon. I haven't read any others, although I do need to read her latest. Basically I've read all the ones I thought had happy endings.

All of Rachel Cohn's books;

I LOVE Gabrielle Zevin's two YA books, but especially Memoirs of a Teenage Amnesiac;

Girl, 15, Charming but Insane (and sequels, I love Jess!);

Um I'll probably add more later when I think of them. And now I'm into some TV and movie fan fics (and cartoon fics when I'm really bored).

I'm probably going to try write a Twilight story in the future. I have an idea about a oneshot (probably) having to do with famous characters that were vampires, you just didn't know about it. I just have one vague rough draft idea about it, I might try to write it this summer if I get motivated, or bored. I also came up with an idea about why Edward thinks his soul is damned (and it came up during my English final at the end of Junior year).

I'm trying to start beta-ing more, so if anyone needs a beta reader I will quickly volunteer. I'm took a writing class so now I finally know about commas and semi colons. Althought I won't be available all the time during the school year, college (well community college at first, then a 4 year) is going to be a bit of an adjustment.

My email is kaypgirl@yahoo.com if the email link isn't working.

Ships:

Basically I like canon relationships (who the author/creator originally put together, I just recently figured out that there was a word for that). Gilmore Girls is an exception, I haven't watched that show since Luke and Lorelai split, so I don't know anything about the show after that season.

I pretty much only ship the following with few exceptions, though I'm sometimes open to OC's:

Kel/Dom, Neal/Yuki (oh the wrongness of Neal/Kel), Alanna/George (ick-A/J), Jon/Thayet, Miri/Evin, Tris/Briar (they just seem meant to be), and I can't wait to see if Beka/Rosto actually happens.;

Harry/Ginny, Ron/Hermione, Fred/Angelina; - Pretty much canon

Nita/Kit (something I never thought about until I started reading YW fic), Dairine/Roshaun;

Michael/Mia (PD is ok, I haven't read the 8th book yet, by choice);

Jess/Rory and Lorelai/Luke

Edward/Bella (anything else is crazy!), Jasper/Alice, pretty much Twilight canon, except I loved Emmett/Abby in Kyoni's "Shut Up Cuz!", "Loves Ups and Downs", and "Papa Don't Preach" OMG: Why did you delete the wonderful stories Kyoni, why, why!!

Hmm, I think that's it, though I probably forgot some. I'm always getting more favorites.

And I just rediscovered Twilight fanfic through all-human fics, and a pretty cool Twilight fanfic site: twilighted.net. I can't believe I hadn't read any new ones since the release of Eclipse. But as of May, the fast is over, hallelujah!!
