Hey everyone!

*waves*

So...this is my, uh, profile page. I'm not sure exactly what I'm supposed to say on here.

*scratches head*

I'm Kat and I'm 27-years-old.

*blinks*

Oh, you want to know more? I mean surely you're not expecting my whole life story on here right? Because, well, that would take up a whole lot of time and probably bore you to death. So here's the skinny: I'm a hopeless romantic although I have terrible taste in men and have been cheated on by nearly every guy I've ever dated. I've only actually loved two guys in my life and they both cheated on me. Go figure. I'm the Bella Swan of romance. (No seriously, my luck is that bad.) I have a very unhealthy addiction to Pinterest. I have like 5,000 pins or something which includes all sorts of crap about the dream wedding that I'll never, ever have, and lots of pictures of food. Which brings us to the next part: I love food...like all of, well, not the healthy stuff, only the things that any doctor would tell you to avoid, stuff that will surely give me an early heart attack. Like, you know, steak and chocolate and peanut butter and Nutella. (I eat it straight from the jar with a spoon.) I'm an ex-soldier, Iraq veteran and all around badass. (Kidding, although my friends pretend to believe that I could kill them in mere seconds with my bare hands just to make me feel better. ha ha.) I'm a die hard UK Wildcats fan and I swear entirely too much. I love animal and taking long walks on the beach and, yada, yada, yada, you get the point.

I love to write. I literally lock myself up in my room and am unable to stop sometimes. It's an unhealthy obsession, worse than anything else, except for my obsession with daydreaming about being in love with my soulmate, whoever he is. I've written all sorts of stuff for various different things. It all started with JC Chasez fanfiction when I was 10-years-old. No, I am not shitting you, that's where it all began. It went from JC to Nsync when they got together (Screw you Justin Timberlake for ruining my daily JC fix.) then to Good Charlotte over at GCfanfics where I started writing a 40 chapter/300,000 word story when I was 16 (Then I saw an episode of Punk'd and realized that Benji and Joel are assholes and moved on.). My urge to write varies. I write when something inspires me. I've written stories about real life people, about myself and my imaginings of my own life, celebrities and fictional characters and even a few characters of my own creation. I have fictional stories that will probably never see the light of day unless I become deranged and lose all concept of dignity. The ones that I have posted are the ones for V for Vendetta, Hell Boy and Twilight. Love is always the inspiration. (See: Hopeless Romantic)

My favorite quote that best describes and defends the art of Fan Fiction is this:

Nothing is original. Steal from anywhere that resonates with inspiration or fuels your imagination. Devour old films, new films, music, books, paintings, photographs, poems, dreams, random conversations, architecture, bridges, street signs, trees, clouds, bodies of water, light and shadows. Select only things to steal from that speak directly to your soul. If you do this, your work (and theft) will be authentic. Authenticity is invaluable; originality is non-existent. And don’t bother concealing your thievery - celebrate it if you feel like it. In any case, always remember what Jean-Luc Godard said: “It’s not where you take things from - it’s where you take them to.

― Jim Jarmusch

And that Ladies and Gentleman, is me in a very long drawn out nutshell. Hope you enjoy my stories, or at least what I have of them so far.
