About Tactics Twin:
My beauty is a crossover just getting off the ground again. FFVIII is the neutral base, VII and X-2 the flavoring with some Tactics as the "shocker" to such slushpile goodness. The theme: you can do something others cannot, but everyone restrains you from doing so, so you watch in horror as things unravel. It's horrible when you lose control when it could have been prevented. When I become a game designer and infiltrate Square-Enix or sympathetic collaborator, I'll have a "Tactics Twin Bible" set up beforehand.

Writing Techniques:
#1: Collect as much music as possible onto hard drive
#2: Playback everything and develop kinship with them
#3: Brainstorm story ideas and scenes playing in your head as music plays
#4: Outline story concepts/chapters through playlists (one or many--chapter-by-chapter, theme-by-theme, doesn't matter, whatever makes sense)
#5: Draft/edit/revise/re-draft according to second count of each song (seconds = words)
#6: Upon mincing everything down to the greatest meaning in the fewest words, move on and don't look back
#7: Don't forget! You can switch songs around in the playlist, or add/remove songs as necessary

Stipulation: one song cannot exist multiple times across a single playlist. That's cheating. Limit: one per customer. Who can listen to Master of Puppets one-hundred times in a row?

Don't be afraid to shut them off if "repeat track" ticks you off. A nine second song repeating constantly can be a headache. Don't be afraid to draft with complete silence, but keep the song playing in your mind.

Postscript: this technique proves how far gone I am. Feel free to complain about my obsessive-compulsive tendencies.
