My name is related to my love of denim clothing. Weird, but I've seemed to inherit this relation to jeans and the like by my friends, so thus my username was born.
I first started writing fanfiction in my sophmore year of high school, and to be honest, I think that had I not watched Dragonball Z (like half of the other people in my grade did who adamantly deny it, lol.) that I would have never found such a sight, since I randomly stumbled upon it while on Google, and saw fanfiction after scanning awhile, funny eh? I'm an anime fan, sort of. I really enjoy the kinds that involve alternate worlds, magic, etc. Yes, that sounded very nerdy, but I'm sure you can see my point. My first fanfic was actually a Sonic the Hedgehog fic, go ahead and laugh, I don't mind. Now I'm a die hard Naruto fan, and my friends either can agree with this, or say 'I don't watch it often, but it's okay.'
Currently 19, and I'm in college. I'm a Biology major, but I'm thinking of going into the field of writing as well, maybe minoring if possible. I still relish in the days when I was only 10 and watching Pokemon (sigh) and my main worry was how long it would take to finish my paper route the following morning and not miss Toonami's Rising Sun on Cartoon Network. I miss those days...anyways...
Things that bother me in regards to fics (namely the Naruto ones as of now):
1. I don't like the major OOC ones. The ones where Naruto is dark and gloomy, and maybe a little emo. I'm sorry, but if you make Naruto emo, you might as well rename him Sasuke
2. High school fics...I'll leave out the ranting here. I just don't like high school fics...enough said
3. Super-short stories, and I mean like less than 400 words, where everything happens at once. I find that hard to do in general, but I still have seen it.
4. Lack of plot lines. If there's no sequence as to how things happen, then I'll stop reading it. Harsh, but that's just me.
Now, for things that I do like:
1. Stories that are long, or in the process of becoming long. However, I shouldn't say that, since I've seen a few short stories that were really well done.
2. Stories that have some relevance to the show or source they came from.
3. The characters are not OOC, at least not right away. If something horrid or life changing happened to them, then it's all good I guess.
4. Spelling that is worthy of being in a middle school. The little stuff doesn't bother me, it's the major spelling problems that send me in a confused mess that get me angry.
Okay, now my preferances. Why, well it's my profile:
1. NarutoxSakura (in case you didn't know, I'm an avid supporter of this pairing)
2. NarutoxTemari (Temari's bossy, and Naruto's a gentleman at heart. Come on, think of where that would go.)
3. ShikamaruxTemari (Laziest ninja alive and the most fearsome kunoichi alive...enough said)
4. NarutoxTayuya (I don't know why...I just...like it for some reason)
5. ChoujixIno (Chouji deserves a love life too!)
Again, pairings can mean diddly-squat if the stories good enough. I mean, I read a fic recently with Naruto being paired with multiple girls. No, I'm not really into that stuff... but it was just a good fic to read, so I liked the pairings as well. Anywho, I'm a fairly nice guy, so I don't flame. I just won't read it. As the saying goes, "If you can't say anything nice, then don't say anything at all."
Oh yeah, if you're an avid supporter of Naruto and Sakura fics, then I suggest you read Better Late Than Never and Here and Now. Yeah, I wrote them, but if you're into that kind of pairing, maybe you'll like it. I've also got another fic going called Existance, but it's more of a NarutoxTemari fic, which are actually surprisingly sparse compared to what I thought.
I would also like to say that I'm a proud member of Heaven&Earth, a site dedicated to Naruto and the pairing of Naruto and Sakura. I'm not ashamed of it either! Here's a link to the site!
