Author has written 15 stories for Gundam Wing/AC, Harry Potter, StarTrek: Other, Star Wars, and Transformers/Beast Wars. for not being an english major and someone who is really lazy when typing, i sure am a horrible grammar nazi. here (in no particular order) are some pet peeves: "Its" and "it's" are different. "Its" is the possessive of "it". "It's" is the contraction of "it is". Capitalize nicknames. It's fine that you've shortened Ironhide to 'Hide, Bumblebee to 'Bee, Barricade to 'Cade, and so on. But the nick name is still a proper name in the English grammar system and should be capitalized. Space out paragraphs--something is really hard to read otherwise. To make a singular noun possesive add " 's " -- reguardless if the noun already has an "s" on the end. Therefore the possessive of "Optimus" should be "Optimus's" not "Optimus'". Don't trust the spellchecker. It lies like a cheap rug. It only checks that a word is spelled correctly--not that you've used the right word. Generally they also don't pay attention to whether you've capitalized names. dec 5, 2007: okay -- here's the deal. i just moved and now that i'm kinda settled i've found that everything that interested me before is almost boring. that includes any and all writing projects that are more than...say four months old as of dec 1, 2007. for those of you that only know what i have posted here, that only affects "star warz". for my friends who knew about my other projects and were looking forward to seeing them done, my deepest apologies. on the other hand, for the moment, i'm writing at a fair pace again. so i have some new stuff up. | |||||||
