For reasons that aren't always clear I have felt the need to distance myself from these stories; my new work is different, and not to be judged on the same level. I can see now, by the indifference that time grants us, that these works were basic and painfully inept. It is not a matter of being embarrassed, this was my beginning and shall always be treasured, but it simply cannot compare to the writing that I do now.
