Author has written 9 stories for West Wing, Harry Potter, Dark is Rising Sequence, Lord of the Rings, and Chronicles of Narnia. I'm a young (ish) post-graduate with too many ideas and too little time to do anything with them. Fanfic has been an intermittent interest of mine and I spent quite a long period of time with an acute case of writer's block and a job that ate my life. Recently, the lovely world of Narnia and the many, varied and talented writers in this fandom have reinspired me, so I not only wrote a new story but finished it! I do have one other story unfinished (Will the Watchman) and I do intend to finish this (I have another chapter almost ready to post), but it may take me a while - although hopefully not as long as it's taken already! However, I currently have the Narnia muse running strongly, so TDiR is getting a bit shouted out at the moment. Watch this space. I have no particular desire to be a published fiction author as I'm far too lazy for the discipline required, but I have published several articles in my academic field, so I suppose that counts, in a way! I love stories, and I love books, so reading fanfic is a great pastime and writing it an occasionally painful, but fulfilling way of producing the stories that you really want to read. I love a good plot, but it is always secondary to the character development. I can suspend disbelief with the best of them, but I rarely read anything that doesn't have some emotional truth in it - but I suspect that's the case with most people. Maddy x | |||||
